Any ideas of an app/game to show off the talents of an iPad 2?

and obviously imovie, because that way you're proving it's not an ipad 1 haha ;)

(if the size, shape and cameras weren't enough to convince anyone lol)

Infinity Blade still looks better on iPhone 4 thanks to the retina, so I'd go for Real Racing 2.

Does anyone who replied even have an iPad 2?

This is what is currently on mine & the A5 makes them look real great

    Dead Space:
It's been totally optimized for iPad 2 & I'm glad I waited to really dig into it, cause now it's even better.

    Back to the Future:
Not only does it look far better but there is no dreadful lag. Again I'm glad I didn't get far into this cause now it runs smoothly.

    Rage:
This game has always looked good but with the A5 the graphics are just....better.

    Infinity Blade:
This is the go to game for showing off some iPad 2 eye candy. Not only is it even more graphically detailed, runs smooth as silk, but also it also introduces people to gesture based controls which are interactive.

    Galaxy on Fire 2
Once again I'm glad I didn't break the ice on this game until I had iPad 2. It looked amazing on iPad 1 but on ipad 2 you can see how impressive the engine is. The planets, the ships, everything is beautiful. There is a free look option while your flying that let's you zoom in and out, pan, etc. They will be coming out with an update for a new scanning system for this game and possibly optimized for iPad 2....which if they do I can't imagine how much better it is going to look cause it looks great as is.

    Archetype:
Again always looked good with no frame issues but now with a gyroscope in it it is that much better and obviously the A5 isn't hurting anything only improving on the graphics and frame rate

    Real Racing 2:
    Need I say more?

I really don't care for dead space (blasphemy), I mean the graphics are amazing and all to show off, but I got bored after like 5 minutes on it, shooting is a ball ache and it's the same thing over and over, I prefer Nova 2, even if single player is glitched on level 2 and the graphics are nowhere near as nice...

I agree with that. Nova has slot more action but to me the button layout makes it tedious to play.

I may be slightly biased also because I spent £20 on a fling and nova is compatible whereas dead space isn't really haha.... But no dead space didn't do it for me, plus I'm a sucker for multiplayer, he'll I've spent the best part of the day on doodle jump now purely because of multiplayer, I hadn't been on it for like a year as well!

The controls work well for me, but if you want, you can customise the button layout in the options.

I know most of them don't!

If you want to show off the power of your iPad 2, there's nothing better than Infinity Blade to do it with.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys, all taken on board. Just how much better is Real Racing 2 than the first one....
jocarr, I just got a Fling, how do you find yours? I am frightened to use it in case it scratches the glass. There seems to be a couple of mould nodules underneath mine. I suppose I can file them off.

Real Racing 2 is a big improvement. Better graphics, more cars on the track, more tracks, real cars, online multiplayer and it generally feels more fun. I wasn't a big fan of RR1, but I love RR2. If you have an iPad 2 (or any other iOS device for that matter), then you need Real Racing 2.

I love the fling, it's great for fps's, just make sure you really push it down as when you're playing games like that it has a tendency to slide a little if you're inadvertently pushing a little hard. It's also good for super mega worm and wispin, I tried them without the fling and it felt really laborious for my thumb, so yeah I love them, just a little pricey IMO but it's a new product and small Market at the moment so I can understand it...

As for scratching the glass, I really wouldn't worry about it, there are videos online which show just how scratch resistant the screens are, even when using objects such as keys, so this little piece of plastic isn't going to do any harm I shouldn't think :)

Agreed, especially multiplayer, although they need to tier it on the car stats because it pools together everyone if I'm not mistaken, so it can be ferrari's against focus's haha

I agree with Hodapp. Infinity Blade takes the cake, with it's iPad 2 visual eye candy.

I didnt really notice any differences with Dead Space and it's optimizations.

I thought Real Racing 2 would have looked better also.

    Anyhow...

I'm hoping more games come out and harness the dual core A5 and 543 graphics chip.

(ps: I picked up mine in black. In person I didn't much care for the white on display. Initially, I was dead set on the white iPad 2. In black it just looked more seamless and elegant.)

No need for that kind of comments eh? Yes I do have an iPad 2 and funnily enough all the games I recommended was included in Archeangels post anyways. So why the need to act like that (not you Hodapp but Arche). Its not like there is only 2 iPad2 in the world. People are answering to help. Would you rather they were silent? :p

I don't, but as with the original iPad, there is one in my household. I just think that if you're really trying to show off a new gadget, you'd better make it look better than the older, smaller model. Infinity Blade looks incredible with retina so the difference is minimal.

FaceFighter Face2Face is much better now due to the inclusion of cameras! ;)

IMHO, first things I'd show people are Labyrinth 2 and Carcassonne, but that could be due to my set of friends...

I only asked because the suggestions were so minimal.

Yes IB on retina is awesome but frankly I'm much more excited seeing it on iPad 2 simply because everything looks bigger than on iPhone and a lot better than on iPad.
