I tried downloading world of goo last night from my ipod touch 4g, I kept getting the "Unable to download bug" that many others had with that app. Now after downloading the app with my computer this morning and syncing my ipod a white app icon with "waiting" on it is where WoG was suppose to download, and if i try to sync WoG to my ipod from my computer it acts like it was synced and shows the app on the app screen but when i check my ipod it isn't there. I've tried restarting my ipod and it still won't go away. and the X doesn't pop up if i hold my finger on it. Anyone know how to make this go away without losing all my game saves? EDIT: Also, i'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but my WiFi suddenly won't let me connect sometime last night or this morning.
Have you tried tapping on the icon or deleting it off your iPod and syncing it backup again to your iPod?
No X appears in itunes either, all the other apps have X's by them on my ipod and itunes except this one I've restarted at least 5 times and its still there.
If you go to the app store from the device and try to install WoG does it say it's already installed and the button is grayed out?
If i go to the appstore and try to sync WoG it shows the regular WoG icon as if its on my ipod but then after syncing it doesn't appear on my ipod. So iTunes seems to think it synced it and keeps the WoG icon where it should be on the springboard screenshots in itunes but it won't appear on the device itself. All this happens with the "waiting" staying exactly the same.
I can't do that because my WiFi suddenly gave out this morning or sometime last night and if i try to connect it just says "Unable to connect to network"
I don't think that will work, the router is working fine and is giving out some sort of wifi signal but nothing can connect to it, i've restarted it plenty of times and restored it to factory settings and still no luck. It suddenly stopped connecting sometime last night or early this morning
Contact your ISP. They might be running maintenance, or maybe some woman in Georgia (country) severed the connection again. Also, restoring to factory settings may have screwed up the connectivity of your devices. Did you check to make sure that all the information about the IP address and such was the same, or adjust accordingly after the reset?
if its a quest router you will need to reenter the company email and password for your account, after a restore it might have added security which can mess with your ipod connection. can you connect with anything else
This happened to me. Plug it into your computer transfer purcheses un check world of goo then sync. sync again with WoG checked and it should be good!
My routers working now, i will try what fireball said. If i try to purchase WoG through my ipod it says its already installed.
