Car Mania by Origin 8 and 24: Special Ops by Digital Chocolate are some unsung heroes. They're both very fun.
^^Not necessarily true. I love Isotope, but I cannot stand Anomaly. Still regret ever purchasing that game. The controls are awful IMO of course.
I love [app]Smiles[/app], [app]Chop Sushi![/app], [app]Big Booty[/app], [app]Dream Chronicles[/app]. Those are the first that come to mind but there are still a tonne more I would recommend.
HANTO http://www.warima.com.ar/Warima/Home.html Please, someone prove to me that this incredible version of the game Hive was reviewed somewhere on TA! After all the chatter about Catan, this game just CANT be missed! Free version available, and the full version just got dropped to 99cents Second choice: Orions, tho dev says will never see an update. Still worth it!
BlueSkies..A helicopter action game........One of my favorite Apps. Has excellent accelerometer controls and is pick up and play YuoTube: video http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=289256879&mt=8
Edit: I moved my post from a thread I created exactly for those kinds of games. Since there are apparently 3 other threads on this subject, I'll have mine deleted. Hiya, I couldn't find a thread for those games, which I think are quite fun to play: Blockdrop: You gotta sink all blocks and and up on the goal block; with music & sound Electric Box: Connect the switch to the atom thingy using different utensils with music IFill it: Doesn't look particularily pretty, but it's the fastest Qix clone around. Without music (more polished Qix clones: Electro Boy and ZoneOut) Upside Down: Guide the little guy to the goal by tilting and walking. Quite polished and fun! With music Monkey Blast: You tilt to move the monkey and tap to jump. Good graphics and control. With music Ynth: You're a little bug and have to move to the otherside of the level. You can push the box you're in. Expensive but quite fun and polished. Music only in the main menu Diamond Breaker: Very fun, but there aren't many levels. You have to cut the crysals to get the diamonds. With music Construction Zone: Thanks to awe, would have forgotten about that one ! Use different materials to build a structure and reach the goal. Little Runner: The little guy runs and you have to clear the path for him. Polished and fun Mevo: Fantastic Rhytm game with great music. There latest update added even more content PathPix: Very fun. connect the numbers. In the end, it's a picture. I actually bought the desktop version after playing this Route Candle: I love the art style collect all matches and light the candles before the fire goes out. The VOID: A great variety of ships (in 3d) and many items. The physics need getting a little used to but it's fun. ChocChoc Pop: A very polished match 3 game! Rick Rocketson Pro: Quite a fun platformer. They released more weapons and levels in the newest update. (Annother great platformer: Archibilad's Adventure) Asteroid Rage: Quite polished Asteroid dodger, but not much content. Battle Shock: Great castle defender. I don't like how fast your archer die later on. You pay a lot to upgrade them, but you can't heal em. Blimp: Pick-Up passengers and destroy bad boys. Blob Dash: A puzzler. Guide the blobs to the goal. Bomb Commander: I don't know how it's doing, but it's a great game. Incredibly difficult in later stages, though. Couldn't finish it Castle Maze: Great 3d adventure? or puzzler? don't know where to categorize that one. Creepytown: Crush pots, use power-ups and collect souls. It's very well made and fun to play. Many levels and funny cutscenes! Cubismo: Build the shapes using different parts in 3 dimensions. Controls need getting used to, but are pretty good overall Dynoquest: Great puzzler with good music. There's not much content though, but fun to pick up and play sessions Graviton Fly and get the sphere to it's goal. The graphics are great, but (for me) it's pretty difficult.
Hmm. One I found recently is Annie's Wild Shot, which is actually really fun :O There's also Pocket Tanks and G.I. Joyride (with that whole major update which'll happen soon, hopefully).
@owl Yeah, annies wild shot is fun. Forgot all about it. And quite well done! Didn't G.I Joyride already get a major update? Well, good news if they already work on annother one How is Pocket Tanks? I considered buying it, but couldn't decide. The graphics don't look too good. And is the AI good? Gomi It's just been released, but I love this game. Reminds me a lot of RocoLoco Pocket Kite My favorite kite flyer. With music. iphyzzle Connect bubbles with the same images to make them disappear. Ouch! Also quite new. But very fun rag-doll puzzler. With editor Pavior Build roads to connect locations. It's quite fun. QuitIt! I love the animations in that one! Rasta Monkey Fun platformer and very good control-sheme! Robo Fun puzzler. Get robo to the exit using mirrors and other objects. 1st Maze Racer Guide the dot and collect all stars. Fun and simple! That's my complete list of underdogs I wanted to mention
Well, I think it's had a few updates, but this one's supposed to be the -big- big update. Like, with new vehicles, new segments to drive through and such. Unlockable paintjobs too. And Pocket Tanks... Well, it might not be that it's a fantastic game, but it brings back tons of memories for me. I played the crap out of that game when I was little. The graphics haven't really needed to be good for me, but to be honest, I don't think -everyone- would like that game really. You'd have to be a fan of the artilery-style shooting games to like it. I like it alot mainly because of the literal ton of weapons that it comes with.
