So basicly I buy my games off the app store with a prepaid Visa card from my bank. My total on the card was down to around 2 dollers and something and I wanted to see what would happen if I tried to buy a game over my total remaining, So I went into the store and tried to buy Lets Golf. I left it alone for sometime and when I came back I realized that Lets golf was now an icon sitting there so I clicked on it and it works and have been playing it ever since. Curious, I checked the balance on my card and saw the two doller or so balance still remaining? Puzzled, I have no idea what happened? I have another prepaid card but I wanted to burn this one up totally before changing my payment method to another credit card number? If I buy a cheaper game(under the two doller balance) will it come off the card? or not. Thanks.
Well, what happens, is in time, usually a couple hours, go to your purchase history, it'll have a whole bunch of red writing telling you how much you owe them, and now you cannot do anything with itunes until you pay them what you owe.
So will it take the ammount I have left on the card off first? Or will it demand I pay in full with one card?
When you are using a prepaid debit card, because of the way itunes bills every five days or so, you CAN buy up to at least 7 games with as little as $1 or $2 on your card. Once your debit card debits the $, you WILL be in the red of course. Once you deposit cash back into your debit card, your money owed to itunes will be taken out of that deposit. I have done this a few times when I was short on cash. I discovered this by accident one day. Edit: I don't encourage anyone to do this btw, also when I did it, I bought the games rapidfire one after another and have only gotten to 7 before the itunes disclaimer comes up and says there is a problem with your card. This shouldn't be used a lot since you owe itunes, as previously said, you won't even be able to download FREE games or updates!
Maybe so, itunes will bill you in a few days, check your itunes email receipts. It's about every five days if I'm correct or close to that anyway.
Just checked back on my purchase history and it finally billed me. Although it says I owe $6.71. I had a little over two dollers left on the card that was on there? Is there anyway the two doller something balance can be burnt up before I edit my payment option for a new card?
