As a developer, I am getting really upset about this problem.... Has anyone else noticed that the sort by "Release Date" on all categories hasn't been updated on the App Store on their iPhone? For example, mine is showing the same apps day after day, with nothing new. Even new apps that I submit and get approved aren't showing up on the list! It's causing significant financial damage to my business right now. Is Apple aware of this? You'll see other complaints for this problem: http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/iphone-sdk-development/4320-appstore-wait-thread-30.html http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/business-legal-app-store/13475-app-store-pooted-itself-again-2.html http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=670295 http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=658029&page=3 http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?p=1392232 There was also a huge thread about this on the iPhone Dev SDK forums but those are down right now since the 3.0 release (http://devforums.apple.com/) If you are also seeing this, please reply. this is a big issue... and the amendment...oh! http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/business-legal-app-store/13475-app-store-pooted-itself-again-3.html now the apps can't be found unless the user has a direct link Way to go!!!!
ARN: Could we have your attention on this... Just on a device open games/action and sort by release date
take a look to this: man this is sick: this is from http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/business-legal-app-store/13475-app-store-pooted-itself-again-3.html
Been this way for OVER a week. Not even NEW games are getting to the top of the list... Games > Action: Entertainment:
same here No new apps visible on the iPod/iPhone..a real mess at the moment. Let´s hope they fix it soon, Apple should be aware of this. Didn´t expect that this problem still exists (after more than a week).
Any more news on this? I am rather concerned as I want to release my game in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed).
Luckily most people have AppSniper. I'm not really like how Apple is supporting devs (or not supporting, for that matter). I've met some of the best, most generous deves on these forums who actually take feedback from small groups of fans and implement it into their games. How many PS3 games do you see doing this? Apple better step it up.
Good news. Thanks. Now I just have to figure out this Tax info as I am a UK resident. Pain in the bum!
