I can't even get into iTunesConnect right at the moment! And the login screen graphics are missing, there is only text.
Sometimes the login process breaks for me under Firefox and I have to fall back to Chrome. I think it might be an issue with cookies/sessions. As Natty suggested, I'd try other browsers and see what happens.
the dev of the Underworlds posted in another thread that they have an update with some bugfixes ready, but iTunes connect doesn't work
First submission of app update was rejected after over a month. I immediately resubmitted the exact same binary (ie: no changes) and it was approved after 20 days. Thankfully the 2nd reviewer was a little more lenient... BTW, iTunes Connect seems to be having problems for the last 2 days. Search twitter feeds to see all the people having issues. I've tried uploading a new app all day in Safari, Firefox and IE and all have the same timeout problem in various phases of the submission process.
Charmed and Charmed Lite Submission Times FYI, I submitted Charmed and Charmed Lite on August 3, 2009. Charmed Lite was rejected 5 weeks later and Charmed was rejected one day later - both due to keyword violations (I had "bejeweled" in there...it is after all just a normal English word, as is "charmed"). Charmed Lite was finally approved 7 days later, and Charmed was approved 11 days later. Overall it was 6 weeks for Charmed Lite and 6.5 weeks for Charmed
I did not know that you are not allowed to use other game names. So Scrabble is not allowed as a keyword, I guess? cheers
12 days for my update... same as the review time. submitted sunday 13th ... update live 25th good luck people .. who are these bastards with 20 apps with slightly different names.. can do without them slowing things down.
That's right, using "scrabble" should your app soundly rejected, but they punish you by making you wait 5 weeks before telling you. I got nailed for referring to "bejeweled" and the geoDefense developer got rejected for using "fieldrunners" when submitting geoDefense Swarm.
Hi all, I'm about to send my first ever game over to Apple for review on Monday. Just wondering, any tips on the process, or any threads on here *with* tips perhaps? Many thanks for the help! QS
Well, they call it a "process", but really it's just waiting, and there's nothing you can do. Nothing helps it go faster, there's no way to see if how close your app is to getting reviewed, there's no way to know anything really. You just submit it and then, eventually, you get an emailing telling you it's in the App Store or its rejected.
Just make sure you follow the human usability guideline in your submission carefully. I got rejected after a few days into the approval process. Other than that. It is most likely a 2 week wait. Just do a lot of marketing. Make a trailer for your game in the meantime if you don't have one yet.
Here's some stats on our apps (Cramzy). Chippy - took 3 weeks to approve. Submitted in April. Each update takes about 2 weeks to approve. 18,000 COOL JOKES - took 6 weeks to approve. Each update takes about another 2-3 weeks to approve. Ananga Ranga - not approved so far. Original submission in March. Took 6 weeks last time, to receive rejection. 23,000 GREAT QUOTES - 1 week to approve. Submitted a about 10 days ago. 1,400 LATIN EXPRESSIONS - 1 week to approve. Submitted a week ago, approved this evening. A Must Go! - Not yet approved. Submitted 3 weeks ago. Rejected 2 days ago, then re-submitted. Still waiting. Cheers, ILIYA
I submitted our application 20 September. It was approved yesterday. So, only 8 days. I think we are lucky.
10 weeks in submission!!! Fellow developers! At the moment, I'm not quite sure what I should do. As head of a very small dev team I need to make some decisions now. Why? Our app is in review for 2 months and 2 weeks by now!!! What the heck! I got a standard E-mail from Apple "We are sorry that it takes so long blah blah". The answer to my follow up was even more useless. Does anybody of you know what the max. acceptance/denial time was by now? In all honesty: This is ridiculous. They should do something. Reject it. We are ok with that. We change it. Or accept it. BUT DO SOMETHING! Sorry, I'm calming down right now. Does anybody have any experience what to do now? Stop the submission and resubmit it again to hope you get a different reviewer? We have 11 apps in the store, no problems with the other ones so far. Any tip is welcome. Thanks so much, Christian BTW. The app is "Don't blend the animals" http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=21603&highlight=blend+animals
We had similar problem with 18,000 COOL JOKES. They were in review for 6 weeks. After the 4th week, I got really nervous about the wait, and started calling them on their Dev Program support phone every day! Every single day! I got to know everybody who works at this support line. Even though this support line is not responsible for the App approval process, they still have some connections with the approval team, and if you are pain in the ass to them, they might eventually help you. I remember that the real help came from a woman (I don't remember the name)... everybody else just told me that he can't do anything and I should just wait. But this woman opened some support ticked about my problem, gave me the ticker number and that's it. A few days later I got a call from one of the manager of the approval team. He told me that we should change the rating for 18,000 COOL JOKES from 12+ to 17+. We did so, and it was approved the day after.
It seems to get better again, Cocoto Kart (new game) got approved after 12 days, Adrenaline Golf (update) also after 12 days.
Well 18,000 jokes are bound to take them a long time to read. They'd have to read them all to make sure you didn't have any pornographic jokes or sick and twisted jokes in there...
I think you make your own luck Our first game (see sig) was approved in just eight days too. What I think helped was that I read through the relevant threads on TA, and learned a great deal from others' experiences on here. I had a 'heads up' if you will. And I'm very grateful to you all! Touch wood, we'll see what happens with the next batch submitted a few days later... Cheers, QS
