I just got a notice from Apple about it on Blue Skies with OpenFeint. They said I wasn't using any location services. Clearly all the testers need to be informed about this.
And I just had iFishing and iFishing Saltwater Edition rejected for the same reason. Appears they still don't know that any OpenFeint app uses Core Location for nearby high scores.
@RPGGuy Which version of OpenFeint are you using? According to Jason Citron this issue should have been resolved with the latest Open Feint.
Wait a minute... you mean the Battle for Wesnoth dev is the same one who did that Kyles Quest RPG i bought when i first got my iPhone?
Yeah. Our Kyle is something like One-Man-Gameloft. No offense intended! Btw, Kyle, will your upcoming card game have the OF feature and do you have any hint when it will be submitted?
Can you e-mail me with the response you got from Apple? I will reach out again for you and try to sort this out. Terribly sorry.... ugh
Hi guys, I submitted Aftermath with OF 2.4.3 yesterday. March 05, 2010 10:11 In Review March 04, 2010 17:20 Waiting For Review I've come to expect from other people's posts about approval times that once an app goes "In Review" it will be approved/rejected within a few hours. Of course this wouldn't normally be cause for worry but now I'm worried that they will reject it for including OF < 2.4.4. Any news Jason? Anyone else know of other instances where Review has taken > 1 day? Or do they just knock off early on friday afternoons?
Hi Guys, Can there be a chance Apple reject some app that includes CoreLocation framework even if the application is not asking the user about his/her location by default? Just wondering. Thanks.
they have rules/conditions like this. we had to include a pop-up dialog explaining by submitting high scores; we send user specific information over the network. i would expect that user location information is pretty sensitive - and, hence you would need to inform the user.
