The polish on this game is amazing. Graphics and design are beautiful. I feel like the controls aren't as sensitive as they could be but overall they work pretty well. This is giving my favorite space shooter a run for its money. We'll see how good it gets.. I'll give it some more time. And #TEAMDOGS! Btw the slo-mo interface when you lift your finger off the screen is quite clever. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #4 sapphire_neo, Aug 6, 2015 Extremely polished, but freemium to the hilt. I'll play .Decluster Zero instead. djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,677 102 63 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #5 djstout, Aug 6, 2015 Very nice game but the controls aren't as responsive as it should be plus the f2p mode isn't great, I would rather pay for this game than wait for those timers... toddfsu Well-Known Member Mar 17, 2010 51 0 6 #6 toddfsu, Aug 6, 2015 Surprisingly polished, love the graphics and concept. What others are saying is true... the controls need some tweaking and pretty standard FTP timers and upgrades, which can annoy. Adsinjapan Well-Known Member Aug 7, 2013 181 0 0 #7 Adsinjapan, Aug 6, 2015 Looks great! Just find the plot a bit of a pointless gimmick really. I mean, how do these cartoonish cats and dogs factor into a rather polished, mature looking shmup? Bizarre. wingsofdestiny89 Well-Known Member Oct 2, 2012 168 0 16 SG #8 wingsofdestiny89, Aug 6, 2015 Yeah, you won't have to worry about losing control when you lift your finger during gameplay with the finger-up slo-mo interface. Neat. Oh yeah, Sky Force 2014 had that slo-mo thing going on too. If you downloaded Sky Force and liked it, you will like this too. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #10 sapphire_neo, Aug 6, 2015 Can you elaborate on how this a Sky Force clone? The upgrading, the lives being on a timer, the gameplay slowing down when you let go of the screen. If you download it you'll see. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #12 sapphire_neo, Aug 6, 2015 I'll take your word for it, makes it an easy decision for me to delete the game. Sash-O Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2015 1,570 0 0 Germany #13 Sash-O, Aug 6, 2015 That was my first thought too. here we go: There are nine levels and you have to unlock them by reaching different goals. Rescue an amount of humans, destroy an amount of Asteroids, complete the mission without loosing energy & destroy an amount of enemies. If you have finished a level, you can choose another difficulty level & play it again with harder goals. You can upgrade your fire rate 10 times by collecting power ups during the levels. At the beginning of each level, you can choose to buy shields, lasers & bombs. There are tips during the loading screen. Same slow-mo if you release your finger. You can upgrade your ship at the hangar. There are timers, if you upgrade your ship at the hangar. If you loose a ship, there are timers to rebuild them. Like Wicked8146 said, if you liked Sky Force you can give it a try. It's not a bad game, it plays pretty good and has good graphics but you always have the Sky Force taste in your mouth how they copied some of the game mechanics/menus/goals. At least it's free to play. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,397 403 83 #14 L.Lawliet, Aug 6, 2015 Ohh Skyforce clone? Does Sky Force have better controls (more responsive). The only reason I'm put off by this game is that the controls have low sensitivity so my fingers get tired from navigating the screen. If Sky Force does it better I'll give that one a try. I do think this game is fair with lives. 10 at 2 minute recharge a piece. And no online connection needed. rezn Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Mar 8, 2014 862 6 18 Male Coder/Keyer in medical ICD 10 Reno, NV #15 rezn, Aug 6, 2015 I loved HexSweep. Quite a bit. And regardless of paywalls I'm going to have to give this a try. I would love to see an update to HexSweep. And of course I love Sky Force 2014. That's one game I can't remove from my device. Maybe in due time the Dev will consider making a full price premium version of this for gamers like myself as I won't usually play a game with timers past a couple weeks. Still excited to try it though. Sash-O Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2015 1,570 0 0 Germany #16 Sash-O, Aug 6, 2015 Downloaded HexSweep, because of this game & I kinda like it too. Have to play it some time. I couldn't say which one is better right now. Try for yourself they're both free. Geertyy Well-Known Member Apr 15, 2013 283 0 0 #17 Geertyy, Aug 6, 2015 I think this one had better graphics than Sky Force. Have been wanting to invest some time into that one, but I'll now choose this one over it. It's fun so far! stelluhreyesthis Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2014 71 0 6 #18 stelluhreyesthis, Aug 6, 2015 Sky force is way better. In almost every way. This game visually has some cool scifi visuals going on but fails to really outpace anything skyforce even did IMO. But if we are going based off how the games controls feel the it's skyforce for sure LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,286 1 38 #19 LordShad0wz, Aug 6, 2015 I originally beta tested sky force back in 2004 on my Palm OS device. I miss those days. Even so I'd have to say if you are comparing this game with the current Skyforce, Skyforce wins hands down. For me the movement in this game simply feels sluggish and that's really really really bad for a shmup. I can't play it like this. And don't even get me started on the timers. I could get really fired up. Unfortunately this game just misses every mark. Billy ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 964 139 43 #20 ShinHadoukin, Aug 6, 2015 If there was s full unlock IAP I would buy it, as is, you spend money to still be stuck behind timers. I like the though, but I'll stick with .decluster zero (and the original) & Operation Dracula. This game is less ballet hell than those games but they are premium with no timers. This doesn't have to premium, but at least no timers. Will any IAP at least remove adds? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
