Hmmm, is anyone else having problems with money not increasing and or not getting any money for the last level before the boss? Level replays are giving me nothing either, money counts up while playing but isn't available in the store.

Have two weapons left I can't buy because of it.

Yeah... I dunno if replaying levels isn't supposed to give you more cash, but I'm not earning any that way, only on the first play through a level will I get $$

Sure I've seen mention of replaying levels to gain more cash in one of the load tips.

Thanks Syntheticvoid, verifying I'm not the only one saves me from resetting my save, I'll hold out for a patch.

    Help please!

I'm in the swamp after I pass through a shack & jump across a small gap, there's a bigger gap that I just cannot make it across. What am I doing wrong?

WC - time your double jump. Wait longer to hit jump again. Jump from the edge of the platform.

September and syntheticvoid - the tip says you can play earlier levels for ammo.
Replaying levels nets you no $. If you go into options and reset your game progress you keep your cash and guns and get money for playing through the levels again. Sort of like a new game +.

    Hope that helps guys.

I like this game and think it was well worth the $2.99, but I kind of think it's a little harsh to not allow "grinding" earlier levels for cash. To me that's basically telling you that if you aren't getting further with what you have, you have to get an IAP.

And, well, I won't go into how I feel about IAPs. Just doesn't seem reasonable to me and hope that can be adjusted in an update. Forcing you to reset your entire game is a not a great option.

Just my opinion. I'm still enjoying the game. That's just a little offputting.

Don't really like the swipe... I tend to do the swipe in the middle of the screen and sometimes my guy just moves or stands still. I think another button would help  I get zombified too often.

But overall, this is a great game! Alien pulse rifle is awesome by the way.
Hoping to pay extra for more characters (?), customizations and weapons...

I concur, and furthermore it creates a problem of how you should play. Given the first run loot mechanic, the "best" strategy becomes taking as long as possible and waiting for more enemy spawns to appear to maximize cash. This is of course less fun. Again freemium mechanics reduce the fun of a paid game of a genre where freemium mechanics have no place. The game is decent, but could and should be better.

I agree, this game rocks. I'm having alot of fun with it, hopefully it gets updates and gets even better.

It's THE iOS platformer I've been waiting for.

It really is a wonderful little action gem that's both polished and challenging. A Metal Slug like game where you basically have a health meter and can choose your loadouts.

    So good.

To me a great game doesn't force you to either fork out additional cash or reset your progress to upgrade your gear. A great game also has more ergonomically placed, or customizable, controls. I'm willing to call it good game, a good game that could have been great but chose to intentionally cripple it's own fun factor in order to extract additional money from its paying customers or cause them inconvenience.

I don't think we're disagreeing with the game being great (at least not me). It's just I think like other games, it should allow people to go back to play earlier levels to earn more coins. Without this ability, it's basically pushing you towards IAPs if you want/need a certain weapon to help get through the levels.

It's ironic that in the Wild Blood thread there were a ton of people complaining about IAPs and when the bosses get hard it was pushing you towards them. BUT that game allowed you to go back to earlier levels and get more gold. I finished the normal mode without any issue or even thought of having to get IAPs. I had trouble with the final boss, but went back to grind a little to get upgrades. Of course, that was a Gameloft game so I guess it's okay to bash them (even the TA review brought up IAPs when there was no need for them).

Anyway, don't want to go down the road of having a flame war on IAPs. Just saying that it sometimes seems like some people are a little contradictory in bashing some games and looking the other way for others. If someone finds later levels in this game to get difficult, they have no other option but to either reset the whole game or get an IAP.

Just putting in some perspective. Hope the dev agrees that this may be an oversight and more overt attempt to push IAPs.

How's the replay value on this game? I only wanna buy it if it's one of those gems we MUST have on our iPhones.

I'm really surprised the money cap wasn't a bug and has been balanced so you have to buy IAP to get all weapons unless you restart the game and choose a different handful, Official response is to "choose wisely", they were good about it but It does seriously put me off the game and promoting it through word of mouth.

You can make a killing with a great game on the App Store, why on earth dupe people who are trying to support you. It only succeeds in putting me off, it makes me highly suspect in purchasing from developers I don't know. I would have been more than happy to pay for expansion materials, maps and new weapons, not ones that are already in my game.

Yours is one way to look at it. For me, it's a way to encourage replayability for those who want to max out everything. It's how you look at it that differs.

Dont forget that this is how Infinity blade does it too. You have to keep on repeating from the beginning to get and master all weapons. And the story arcs for each playthrough of IB and IB take 10 to 15 minutes to complete, which makes the IB titles a lot more repetitive than this.

Dont single this one out. Then again, it's just all about how you look at it.
