I used to use AP News Mobile for reading news. It used to be really nice, and then they completely changed things and it's been downhill ever since. It seems to get continually worse each iteration. I eventually stopped using it. I recently updated from OS 2.2.1 to the latest OS 3.x, and in doing so, was able to get the latest version of AP News Mobile. I decided to try using it again. Now I can't even get past the first screen. It continually tells me its downloading my front page, but it just never seems to finish. Has anyone else been having problems? I've been back to using USA Today, which I have enjoyed, but it doesn't give me the local news like the AP app does.
I had the same issue with not being to update the page. I deleted the app and then reinstalled it, issue went away. I too use to have both apps, AP and USA, but you can beat the push notifications of AP Mobile. Not that it works again, its the only news app that i have on my iphone.
Thank you for the advice. That worked! Now it downloads the news and seems fairly smooth at scrolling as well. They also moved the 'refresh' button to the top. Yay! On one of the updates, I could hardly even hit the refresh button. It was tiny and poorly placed where I ended up hitting the 'More' tab. My only wish is to have a refresh all. I will often read the news the last thing as I go to bed. My bedroom does not pick up our wi-fi router so I have to manually go to each subject (News, Entertainment, Business, Tech, etc.) and select to refresh so I can then read it all off-line. But I think I'll be back to using this application again. Thanks again for the help.
