Went out with my boys and was almost disappointed with not being able to see it due to clouds blocking the sunset. It all cleared up and I we were able to see probably the most beautiful sunset I will ever see in my life. Wanted to share some pics! http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/kman316/IMG_1081.jpg http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/kman316/IMG_1082.jpg http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/kman316/IMG_1083.jpg http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/kman316/IMG_1084.jpg http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/kman316/IMG_1085.jpg http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/kman316/IMG_1086.jpg http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/kman316/IMG_1087.jpg
Only got to see half of it before the sun was covered by a building here in Houston. Terrible view from outside our restaurant after standing outside for over 30 minutes waiting for it, lol. Nice shots. First time I've seen one. Going to be quite a while before the next one.
Oddly, my wife and I looked outside and said, wow, it looks really weird and golden out there. But because a storm was coming, we just assumed it was that causing it! Totally didn't look up
Cool pics! I never seem to get ready enough ahead of time to get the special glasses to look at them. Then again, I guess having a camera and taking a shot wouldn't hurt either, but I heard that could damage the optics just like human eyes?
I live in the East Coast and, when it was visible, I was asleep. It really sucks because the images are pretty darn breath-taking. I think I've only witnessed one or two really cool celestial events.
