I've been considering an external battery for my iPod Touch 4g because, well, the battery life really sucks (pun intended) while playing games, especially the newer, more graphically intensive ones. I was looking at external battery packs and found the Mophie Juick Pack case: http://www.mophie.com/mophie-juice-pack-air-iPod-touch-4G-battery-case-p/2010_jpa-t4-blk.htm Just wondering if anyone had any impressions or if anyone has this for theirs. The only concern, other than price, is the "nub" that sticks out on the USB connection side. It looks like it might be a little uncomfortable since it would stick into the palm of your hand while playing.
Unfortunately not but I think anything that boosts the battery must be a good thing it's kind of sad how my ipod only manages a couple of hours at most with games and my old PSP still gets around five, plus I can switch the battery out and keep playing. I've always fancied one of these for my Ipod which I'm guessing is probably the same idea as the morphie but probably not as sleek. In an Ideal world apple would sell a thicker version with a serious battery I think if they matched the dimensions of the iphone it could easily double the life of course that will never happen.
Seen the Mophie packs and the thing that holds me back from them is that they would constantly be on the device - a new case. I got an Energizer external battery that recharges the device twice on it's charge. Less expensive than the Mophie and I can use it only when I need it. I can also use it for both phone and iPod. It also comes with different tips to recharge just about any handheld anything that you have. If it doesn't come with the right tip you just email them and they will send you one. They have cases and stuff in their energie to go line but this is the one I use.
