Looking forward (particularly to the folder function), but I see updates from some manufacturers for iOS4, but many others haven't mentioned it. Either that means they already work without an update or we're screwed. I'm worried about upgrading if half my games won't work after it.
The apps will still work fine. I only came across one game that didn't work (American McGee's Crooked House; it plays at like 3-4FPS and won't register swipes in-game, making it unplayable) but all of the rest have worked just fine. There should be few if any compatibility issues, the updated apps will mainly be to address multitasking, possibly add the higher resolution for iPhone 4, and to add streaming/navigation background processes for those it's relevant to.
My question for you early OS 4 adopters (as I hope to be as well tonight): Is there any trend in the games that aren't happily taking the OS 4 update? Like in the OS 2 -> OS 3 update I noticed several games chocking on the new sound drivers causing very halting/skippy gameplay unless sound was disabled. I'm curious if there is a consistent theme in the games not making the OS 3 -> OS 4 jump nicely so I can have a better idea of what to expect and which games I could assume might have issues.
