I feel like it may have happened to me in the past (temporarily). At the moment, its happening for Mini Golf Wacky Worlds. I tried to update both in my iPhone and on my Mac. It failed (no message, just not removed from the available updates list) 7 or 8 times over the course of two days, then finally worked.
Same problem here I'm getting this problem and another. Sometimes when a developer removes an app temporarily their "update" stays on my update screen, so I have to manually keep updating my apps. As someone with close to 700 apps this is a real pain.
Happening with me too. World Series of Poker Texas Holdem Guitar Rock Tour 2 Tiger Woods Golf WSOP ~100mb TW ~180mb GRT2 ~200+mb I had to dl each 4-5 times for the update to go away. Took forever
It's happened to me with: Jet Car Stunts 33rd Division Cliffed iFitness I found that you just gotta ignore them or keep downloading? I just hope it doesn't use more memory each time you download...

Why isn't Apple recognizing this problem? It is happening with pretty much all of my games now. I hope they find a solution soon.
It might have fixed it for now... but in a few days or weeks the update might pop up again. That is what has been happening to me.
was happening to me with run! so instead of going to the updates section on my ipod i searched for the game and it didnt say installed it said he price so i clicked that and it worked fine
This was happening to me too, for Civ Rev. Kept updating like 5 times and it didn't go away. Waited a couple days and it went away. However with pocket god I updated it twice and then it went away.
Happens to me, although if I d/l the update again after 12-24 hours it goes away as normal. Still annoying though.
Happened again, this time X-Plane and Battle of Pirate Bay. Retrying a few times, or just waiting long enough (more than a day) does the trick. Oh, well. Not the end of the world.* * Until its an update Im desperate for like Defender Chronicles or something
yeh, i cant get defender chronicles and tap-fu that were just released today to update.... or rather, they update, but keep appearing in the 'update' que.... it's been 6 times so far... tho i know the games are updated, caues i played teh update of D.chronicles which is sik as fuk now! i just wish it would update, and not have those numbers sitting over the update icon... i alwys think its something else.
I have the same problem to when i try to update IM+ the updat will not be removed both in the appstore and in Itunes
