Just wondering, it would be interesting to see if there are any Android users on TouchArcade. I've been an iOS user for quite some time (back in the 1.x.x days), but just started to get into Android and personally, I really like it.
I almost ended up buying one, but I looked at the galaxy nexus and I was simply blown away at how ICS "felt" overall with it's UI, ended up buying an unlocked one using a T-mobile sim, but I will try an ATT SIM card later.
I have an Xperia Play, and I'm generally pretty fond of it. There are some issues with how the browser handles any pages with video, but apart from that, it's a pretty great device.
Motorola Atrix here. It's a fine and very capable device overall, music is kind of a hassle though since iTunes is still my default music player. Nevertheless I still really like it, I just wish ice cream sandwich came sooner
The Nexus looks pretty nice, but it wasn't available when I bought my phone, and it's not enough of an upgrade for me to get it over my S2. I might not upgrade until the Galaxy S3, whenever that comes out.
Droid Eris since last summer. It's refurbished but I rooted it and it gets the job done. I'm hoping to get an upgrade to a RAZR soon.
I have a mytouch 4g. Nothing crazy, but I like it. I do miss my old iPotch, but it's nice having a device with the power of a jailbroken iDevice. Only reasons I'm still on this forum is for the lounge, and the iPad section.
I have an android phone (I don't want to mention the name). I bought it two months ago. It has crashed twice.
They also have more stable pricing. One of the things that really turned me off the App Store is the crazy fluctuations in pricing...it was always disheartening to buy apps and then see them go free the next day. Kind of nice when you grabbed a game for free, admittedly, but not so nice when you felt like a chump.
iPhone 1-4>Samsung Infuse>Samsung Galaxy Note Considering Apple has two other devices that are fairly identical to the iPhone it was a no brainer that after iphone 4 it was a good time to switch up. Once Android became on par and surpassed iOS. (which explains my absence) Galaxy Note is by far the best device on the market for my needs. Android update process vs Apple....Apple for the win all day, only a few devices from one company for one company. Andorid is like windows PC all over again though An OS nearly half of its users truely know how to utilize, Pimped out on any device with a touch screen. Can't wait for Galaxy Notes official ICS update as the leaked 1717 bulid was discovered last friday!!
Got a Galaxy Tab mini tablet in order to play several exclusives SRPG/TBS on the android platform. Always good to be platform neutral. I missed the 10 cents sales though, maybe they will have them later in the year. Really like the Humble Bundles and got Avadon with the last one.
I'm waiting for a Samsung Tab or maybe a Sony that officially supports Micro SDXC cards it would be really sweet to have that much storage and actually make a tablet useful to me. Right now only Android device I do own is a Sony PRS T1 ereader and it does the job well.
