Really annoying me now. The bar gets about 90% of the way there and just stops. The first time it kept trying to send while I slept and utterly wiped my battery. I managed to fix it once by signing out, then disabling and enabling iMessage, but since then that method had stopped working. Now it requires me to reset the network settings each time, which means rebooting and also entering my WiFi and 3G network info (I don't get it automatically) every time as well. It's happened about twice a day for the past three days... for no reason whatsoever, right in the middle of a conversation it'll just start failing. This isn't good enough.
I'm seeing it too. I hope there is a fix quick for this. I've read that turning off messages, then resetting network, and then turning it back on fixes it, but I haven't tested long enough to see if this is true.
Not experienced it yet, but I've learned a lesson. Never update to the next major iOS release. Wait for a more stable version. Why break something that is already fixed? Smh
From what I've tested it looks the combination of turning off messages, resetting network settings, then turning it back on again has fixed it for me. If it changed I'll post back, but I guess it's something to do with the old settings having issues.
It's an iOS7 issue. http://www.macrumors.com/2013/10/01/apple-aware-of-ios-7-imessage-issue-working-on-a-fix/ I seem to remember something similar with iOS6 early on, but I could be mistaken. This one hasn't effected either of my devices, but a handful of friends/family have been experiencing problems.
Yeah, just read it over at TechCrunch, how annoying. http://techcrunch.com/2013/10/01/apple-says-fraction-of-imessage-users-seeing-issues-working-on-a-fix/
Certainly seems like their really stretching with the whole a fraction of a percent thing it's either bad software on all of them or none of them as far as my logic goes. Still seems fine on my old ipod but I think you lot get your fix quickly now the story is hitting the tech sites.
So, funny thing... iMessages eventually sorted itself out after a few days, and then last night I installed the update with the "iMessages not sending" fix, and now iMessages are broken again. My phone keeps refusing to make an alert noise when messages arrive, and often when they do, the time stamp indicates they were sent up to ten minutes before I received them. Getting real tired of your crap, Apple.
Stop saying Apple crap, they're the best. Gosh... Hate when people are pissed at my beloved apple company.
