Looking around for some games for my two year old nephew, so far "FirstWords Animals" has caught my eye but with no Lite version I'm unsure of its overall execution. So an impression of that would be helpful, but more so any other recommendations for games out there.

    Thank you for any replies.

Yes, I have seen quite a few applications for little ones in fact. I am on my ipod touch so, I can't post links but I will get some for you. You can look in the app store under the family and kid section under games, BUT I guess you did that already.

I think you're on the wrong site. Most people here are either into carnage or super relaxing games :p

I would recommend a game called Preschool Arcade. Another is Toddler Tapping Zoo. Great for little kids...and they seem to enjoy them.

Edit: I've tried both. They have simple controls but still very entertaining which generally suits me anyway.

Uhh, Tap Tap Revenge has a "Kids" mode...

Here are a couple I just found though:

    Preschool Arcade
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=285523979&mt=8

    Preschool Adventure
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=286526367&mt=8

But those might be a little to advanced...

    Edit:
    Here's some more:

    Kid Art
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=293849143&mt=8

    Kid TV
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=300116747&mt=8

    ABC Animals
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=292402752&mt=8

If you go under "Education" in apps, there are a lot more!

oh wait...none of these are recommendations...I just thought you needed help finding some...sorry.
I haven't actually tried any of these out.

Albie what are you talking about?

Preschool apps are some of the most hardcore apps available right now!

Baby Bottle Boppers is coming out this month!!!! The bottle bopping game of the century!!

Yeah, I've already looked into those sections, what I'm really after is elaborate feedback of apps and even recommendations of those apps that fly right under the radar. Thanks for already having some in mind, I anticipate thise links.

Welcome to TA and your not on the wrong site, since some members have kids or have small nieces (my niece is 3) or nephews. :)

iToy I would recommend because I have actually used it with my 3 year old niece
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=306730480&mt=8

iToybox it's a delightful app in my opinion for little ones so I hope your nephew enjoys it
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=305793519&mt=8

Although this next app is not a child's game, my niece finds it fascinating and loves to touch the screen to try to touch the fish. You could give a try :)

    Koi Pond

Hope we have helped you a bit! :D

The piano app is educational to a degree. It's free, and can enhance musical ability.

Thanks for the replies so far, I wasn't expecting them so quickly!

Some of those have really caught my eye, I can see my nephew enjoying them. But of course, please keep them coming if you can, I'm in a spending mood for the little guy.
