Do you enjoy playing board games? Or are you looking for a campaign? If the later, then those complaints are valid. Though you're comparing reviews for a $15 purchase versus a $4-5 purchase...

The game uses 4x rules so of course gathering resources is important. So I'm not sure I get that complaint.

How do you counter the Saboteur?

In the campaign, there's a level where you have to rob the palace after taking control of guard towers. I've pretty much destroyed the AI, but it has enough resources to always place a bomb in the palace. Is there no way to counter this?

the 6th mission is very hard, the one with the 4 gang against you...
Can't beat it, but anyway it's a great game, even in solo playing

I came here hoping to find tips on chapter 6... even on easy I can't kill all 3 gangs. Especially when they hide in the corners behind Thugs with 7 hearts...

I think you can try to run your Saboteur into the palace first to nullify AI's saboteur, then run your other guys in. Not 100% sure since I didnt try this on my run.

I did this on normal and I think the Sister upgrade (unlock Assassins) is the key to winnning. Build up a bit of resources (like any normal game) before killing the first gang. Scout as much as you can so you can remove the FOW to the remaining gang's locations (the other 2 gangs do nothing until the one before them is killed, so you only have 1 gang to worry about at any one time). Once you get your basic economy upgrades, start going for Double Gang (for better board control) and then The Sisters. Once you are ready (fulfill the other victory conditions first), use your gang/gangs and master thief to kill the first gang, unlock the Sisters upgrade to get a free assassin and kill the second gang (if gang got more than 6 health, wait for next turn so you can use assassin and master thief together). Then aim to get 8 gold to buy another assassin to kill the last gang with your master thief. If the AI isnt close to winning, you can space out the assassins between turns. Hope this helps.

I beat level 6 on Normal, this is how I did it.

I went clockwise, so if you think of the map as a baseball diamond I took out the 3rd basemen thugs first, then 2nd base and finished on 1st.

I like to use Urchins on banks (x3) and churches (x1) for Gold and use Trading Houses (x1) for lanterns. I rarely, if ever, use Steangefellow Pubs but in this map it’s not a bad idea as your Thugs will be cracking heads first and not even asking any questions later.

Get gangs by turn 3 and start leveling up damage, and get Dagger -> Reinforced Steel for your thief. Start getting thugs and building your gangs to x5 and then start shiving everything in sight; that dagger loves hot, red blood and you can’t quench its thirst fast enough.

I always try and get Assassinations unless they are way across the map, you really don’t want to allow that good for nothing, ugly, meater Gashford to take them in this map. Let him get Blackmail and bribes, doesn’t matter if you stop him from getting Assassinations.

Build the Skullduggery tree to Sisters and use one to kill the last gang.

That was really about all, I didn’t waste time using Thugs to block on this map. I went in hot with a pissed off, tricked out, fully loaded gang, a Shiv that couldn’t get enough blood and, really, the most important part; I wanted it more than Gashford.

Wow, thanks for all the tips. I haven't had the chance yet to try these out, but they make sense to help.

Perhaps the biggest temporary price discount since the launch.

The game is pretty good, so take this opportunity to catch it. XD
