http://techcrunch.com/2012/10/28/anonymous-is-going-after-zynga-for-mistreating-employees-and-is-prepared-to-leak-documents/ What do you guys think of this?
As much as I dislike Zynga, I am uncomfortable with the Anonymous tactics. Some folks may cheer on Anonymous when they attack a widely hated company, but what happens if they go after a company you like? Who made these guys the arbiters of justice?
It's not like Anonymous can release Zynga games on the App Store anyway (likely same with Android Marketplace) so aside from publicizing questionable documents there's not much to this. Who are the arbiters of justice? Zynga could just outsource jobs and legally that would be just; but not morally. We are all responsible for enforcing our own conscience view of justice however possible. The unfortunate reality is that business sanctions are weak and there is no system of enforcement.
as much as i dislike zynga, its not anonymous's place to "serve them justice," and if their mad at zynga for laying of workers, how is hacking them going to help?
Wait, Zynga is wrong for laying off workers to outsource? What age are we living in here, wow. They've taken a lot of hits recently. Making money is the point of a business. All I'm thinking after reading that article is "hacker trash."
They'll have it up soon I think. Also, I don't think there's really any reason to attack Zynga... Sure they're evil and douches, but are Anonymous any different thinking justice is served by hacking?
Can I ask why you all don't like Zynga? I only have two games from them, Twist Pilot and Horn, and both seem like good games. Why does everyone seem to hate Zynga so much?
Could be the fact they rip off smaller developers games like tiny tower among dozens of other immoral acts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zynga#Reception_and_controversies
