Each upgrade makes it produce something different - repair -> smokescreen (or whatever it is called) -> decoy -> rocket/bomb thing. So if you want it to produce decoys, upgrade it twice. Put the decoy in the path of the beam but as far away from your convoy as possible, and place it after the beam has targeted your convoy, that way the beam will have to waste time travelling from your convoy to the decoy and back again when the decoy is dead. You can put a smokescreen on the decoy to make it survive a bit longer too.
Here's a couple pics of the PC version... http://i52.tinypic.com/15mo9so.jpg (JPG) http://i51.tinypic.com/2lvcn43.jpg (JPG) http://i54.tinypic.com/11wawdg.png (PNG) If someone can post a pic of the iPad version you could compare... =o) --Edit-- The jpg pics are a little lower in quality (not too much lower quality than in-game), so if you have a slow connection you won't have to wait long for the pic to load... the PNG pic is 2MB... and is better quality (the quality in-game) - just... so you know... =o) Also... here's some info from 11 Bit Studios regarding some of the differences for the iOS version... "OK, so the missions are a bit smaller becuase iPhone cannot support bigger scene without framerate dropped down, and the game actually was totally redesigned for touch screen gameplay (...and there are more of them and some stuff in the works already . What we think on this is that the gameplay is totally most important, so that's why we've designed it specially for touch screens. Like now the player is the commander, becuase controlling commander via tapping was ruining the gameplay. Also, longer story introduction could have been risky, becuase players using iOS devices are used to getting instantly into action and preferring short, but intensive playing sessions. Certainly, we've made some other prototypes of gameplay, but the one we chosed, was definitely best in our opinion. Wow, what a long post "
I just beat it. Upgrade Your dragon and crawler to the fullest then add shield armor. It took me a couple tries. But wow!!!!! What a hell of a game that was. Commander Trials next.
In mission 8 on the iPad, it seems like the game forces you to put the teach team in the front. how can I put the tech team in the back?
Thank you for the thorough explanation! I will try it again latter. BTW, this game should have been at least $5. You can tell they put a lot of work because the voice acting alone feels professional and I like how at every breifings, the guy doesn't repeat what he said at the previous mission, if you know what I mean.
The best combination is: 1st. 2nd. 3rd. 4th. 5th. 6th. Crawler, Sield, Crawler, Crawler, Shield and Supply. I've finished all levels using just this combiantion. I've finished everything in HARDCORE mode and with all GOLD medals acquired. Look at my Online score to prove.
Gaghh!!! Mission 9 is hard!! How do you beat it? Can anyone show pic of their route or at least help somehow, please?
Hi All, @LOLavi - what causes the difficulty in beating this level? PS - we'll be here, on this thread, to help you with issues. thx
I'm having a problem. I beat the game and started the Commander Trials. I played to the 4th level and closed the app I came back to it and my Commander trials where gone. Is that a bug? When I play and beat the 15th level I do get it back to it. Is that how its suppose to be? Where did the Dev go????
Great to see the dev here! Well the whole level, can't find a way through the enemy forces And destroy the extractors or whatever they are And then destroy the big thing. I can only destroy 2 first before I die.
Could you make it, that when one exits the rout planning screen, the camera doesen't automatically go back to your troops, but stays in the place where you where in the map? (But add a button to the map that mooves the camera back to your troops.) It would make the 15.th mission less annoying!
Nice to see you on here! This game is incredible and easily one of the best I've ever played. I feel like I've stolen from you only paying $1.99 for this game.
