The first and second were "the same" which is the reason why the second wasnt called Anomaly 2 right away. This third one is a full level up from the first 2. For one, there is a potential for a lot more missions. The map here is a globe with blips appearing in it that represent missions (like the previous ones but those were on flat maps), and the missions are really close to each other, which suggests many missions. Also, the best part, is the more dynamic and active combat. You can switch your tanks into mechs which have different mechanics than their tank forms, in addition to the powers you put on the playing field. Third, the amount of polish is amazing. From visuals to sound effects, and to an interesting story, this is an upgrade from the first 2. This also has more emphasis on the story as there are more auto-panning and ingame cutscenes than the previous 2 games' start-and-end-of-mission-dialogues. I still am too early in the game, but i am quite certain this is already $5 well spent, and now belongs to my best-of games list.
There was a weird screen asking me to verify my age and accept an agreement when I launched the game before it allowed me to play. WTH was that?!

Frame rate anyone? TouchArcade had severe frame rate issues on their iPad 4. Their play through of the tutorial had very obvious issues. He mentioned they did a hard reboot and reshot the video but no improvement. I'm hoping to pick up a 128gb iPad Air tomorrow. Geekbench's benchmarks show amazing performance so this game should shine on it. I have original and Korea with no issues on my iPad 3. And that is a dog in performance. No wonder they released the 4 shortly after.
Framerate's perfect on my ipad mini... How i wish i had an ipad mini retina sooner (im getting one as a christmas present to myself ). Not even small hiccups, it play flawlessly. Not sure about what happened with TA's framerate issues.

I have an iPad 3, still running ios6. Anyone with a similar set up take the plunge? If so, how's the frame rate? That's the only thing stopping me from diving in right now.
