I've only played about 10 levels and earned almost 300 tokens from random achievements. It looks like you can permanently unlock characters (and there are a lot of them) but the token price for that runs around 1000-3000. If I spend tokens at all, I'll probably just save for Boba Fett, which is 2000.
This is probably the best AB title yet. Such a killer weak for the iOS. Edit: OMG FINALLY UNIVERSAL..after five games.
Didn't even know this existed, and now it's released. Being Universal is a huge step forward for Rovio, I'll buy it. I hope this game supports the rovio account so I can sync between iPod and iPad, they need to integrate that thing into all the other Angry Birds games too. Nope, doesn't appear to have rovio account, maybe it has gamecenter cloud saving like Asphalt 8?
You unlock Boba Fett as soon as you start your first Pork Side level so you may want to save those tokens for something else...
Can someone tell me how difficult this game is compared to Angry Bird Space for completing the game with all 3-stars for all levels? I find the later levels in Angry Bird Space to be ridiculously unfair and unpredictable in its behavior to seemingly same attack strategies because it is taking into accounts subtle difference in touch pattern which is imperceptible. Is Angy Bird Star Wars II the same in its fairness to touch control that is imprecise at best? Also, one thing that bugs me about all games in the Angry Bird series is that you are never told what is the MINIMUM number of birds you can use to solve a level? Is there anywhere you can tell?
The pork side on Tatooine is quite clever. I was pretty impressed! Also the final level on the bird side was a blast. ( no pun intended)
So, I went to Toys R Us to have at look at the telepods. Initially, I was thinking I may want to buy a pack or 2 of my favourite characters but I was disgusted by the quality of the toys. The paint job is terrible and the toys just look cheap. Either they are thinking its ok because kids are going to just throw them around or they simply cannot be bothered because the toys will sell anyway.
Never liked Angry Birds until this. It's the variety along with the theme that makes it more deep and tactical and you need strategy just as much if not more than luck to play this version. Requires good strategic placement skills. 5/5
I don't know why people don't realize this before tearing them apart but ALL of the AB games require strategy and precision to get 3 stars... With that said, the SW versions are my favorite. Each AB release is honestly better than the last.
Currently there are 88 levels (plus bonus levels). 44 of them you play as the birds and 44 of them you play as the pigs. More levels coming.
