Are you serious? That has got to be the most ignorant comment about devs I've read, and that's saying something around here. Do you think they just pocket all that money they make? They have development costs, bills, etc to pay. Supporting devs ENSURES they can make updates and not go bankrupt because people are too damn cheap to pay a buck or two.[/QUOTE] Ru saying that the number one selling dev of all time doesnt make enough money to support itself? Edit: ok this post came out really wrong but the paragraph above is his post
Well I don't have the convenience of an iPhone 4 so I don't have multitasking so it takes slot longer to switch. I know it sounds stupid but it would be alot more convenient if it was all in one app

In return the publisher (Chillingo) gets a share in the profits from game sales. Once a developer has made a name for themselves they don't need a publisher anymore because they can now take on the financial responsibilities themselves. It has nothing to do with EA. As a matter of fact any dev that is being published can benefit GREATLY from this deal because EA can pitch in some of their assets to help developers. Leaving behind an app that sits comfortably in the Top 5 spots in the appstore since... well since release, would be a huge mistake on Rovio's part. The best idea is to have us purchase Rovio published "level packs" like this halloween one. Load up the regular Angry Birds app and the the new levels unlock there. The devs get the benefit of added cash and we get what we want. If they don't do it... just complain. If enough people demand it they will take the time to implement it ScottColbert Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2009 1,062 1 36 Phoenix, AZ http://www.scottcolbert.com #69 ScottColbert, Oct 21, 2010 Last edited: Oct 21, 2010 Ru saying that the number one selling dev of all time doesnt make enough money to support itself? You do know that Apple takes a nice cut from that 99 cents some people are too cheap to part with, don't you? Take out research and development, the coders, artists, etc, not to mention adverts, and that money gets eaten up pretty easily. As an indie publisher myself (books not games), I always have to laugh when people assume because a certain produt does well that the company is automatically self sustaining for eternity. It also takes time and money to create and make all the free updates that Angry Birds has had. I'll gladly throw another buck their way to keep doing what they're doing. Thanks for the clarifying that VeganTNT. It does sound like the developers, based on AB alway sbeen in the top 10, to not have to have an external publisher anymore. I'm very keen to see how this develops for future releases. I understand you are requesting a change in gameplay. The fact is though, AB is a very linear, simple gameplay system. If its bland to you, go to another game and don't expect the others to feel the same way if they LIKE the game as is. But on a separate note - had they done DLC instead would that not have counted towards the sale of the original app and not split their customers at this point?
