Chronicle Dungeon Info: 5 Caves Each cave has 10 stages Each stage has 10 waves The 10th stage of every cave is a boss fight Enemies are buffed up versions of enemies from throughout the game. In Cave 2, pigs are healed for a certain amount every 2 turns. (I think it's 2 turns) In Cave 3, you take damage every 2 turns. In Cave 4, which is brutal, one bird gets stunned for 2 turns every 3 or 4 turns. You need really strong birds, and you need friends with really strong birds. (veteran and up birds, preferably elite)
Pretty fun game, I'm at level 20 without using any IAP's. Not that I wouldn't mind since I've gotten some solid enjoyment from it but alas, I'm unable to as my connected card has expired. Some areas, like behind the locked gates, can be tricky at first without IAP's but as you continue the main storyline you level up and they become easier after a while. Same with the dungeons - some of them are no problem to complete with just two birds and the other ones are fine with that free little bird Slappy McGee or whatever his name is, once you've levelled up a bit. I haven't connected Facebook at all. The friendship essence is, in essence, useless. Don't even bother. Other strategy tips would be to don't spend tons of silver coins on upgrading potions and stuff - save it for buying classes and blueprints, and later in the game, upgrading your favourite birds in the dojo. Coins are pretty sparse but the dungeons and the egg castles yield tons of coins and experience, so for grinding these are the levels of choice. My main gripe is the 3rd level in the dojo, which costs 300 gold coins. There's no way anyone's gonna grind to that level and it's a pretty hefty IAP expense to upgrade only your three favourite classes to the 3rd level. All in all pretty solid and fun, but the paywall to upgrade birds tot he final level is just ridiculous. And you'll definitely need it for the final dungeon that opens after you've completed the game, as well as the whirlpool dungeon that are just beyond difficult otherwise.
I just finished all 5 caves of the Chronicle Dungeon so I am done for now. (It says there may be more caves later) Thoughts: 1) You don't need master classes to finish all the caves. Master is the third level (300 gold coins for each bird). You do need at least veteran birds, preferably elite. (Veteran is level 1, elite is level 2) When I started, all 6 birds that I used were veteran. They're now all elite. 2) Friendship essenses: Save them. At the chronicle dungeons, you get a chance to roll for blueprints but you only get a 1 in 8 chance. (You can only get 1 star in the battles) Also, later on, the difference between a 0 star and 3 star item is HUGE. If you don't have the materials to reforge, you should reroll. Related to above, don't bother with new equipment if you don't need it. It's not worth a ton of rerolls for a weapon that adds 10 attack. 3) Save your snortlings for: The classes you need Class upgrades Blueprints Potion upgrades 4) Potions are quite useful later on with the 10 wave battles. Nobody wants to restart at wave 9 if using 1 potion can save you. 5) If you're wondering, the classes I use are samurai, paladin, rainbird, druid, trickster, and captain. That's what I like but I see plenty of people using pirate, lightning bird, wizard, rogues, cleric, spies, and berserk... Don't limit yourself. Trying new classes is the best part of this game. (However, some classes like marksmen seem to be unused) That's all! This was a fantastic game for the $5 I spent!
Guys that have played the game when this releases in the US and you download it there how will progress be saved from your NZ, AUS, or CA account? Is there some kind of login you use?
Had this for a while, someone brought it up on their forums, and they said they would fix it. Still waiting.
Where do I log into this account? Its not the Facebook one is it? I dont do Facebook... EDIT: Can anyone help?
Am I missing something obvious? Where is the Mighty Eagle Dungeon I keep hearing about? I think I'm pretty far into the game, but I don't see it.
1. Click on the nest icon 2. Click on the top head of the totem pole 3. Rovio Account should be the first option in the list You don't have to log into Facebook. No, but it's clearly not ready for worldwide release yet. Lots of bugs to be squashed.
Rovio is behind it and they have spent an enormous amount of effort and resources on the game so I doubt it will die. They just have to fix the bugs (and there are a lot of them) before the wide release. Playing through the game, you can tell how much they put into it. The map is gigantic and there are tons of levels with a huge variety of enemies. If you ignore the bugs and the unreasonable pricing on some items/abilities(15 gold to revive your birds? Really? 300 gold to upgrade a class to max?), the game is actually a huge blast to play.
The only bug iv encountered is if you have more then 25 facebook friends playing you cant use the social feature like the free rolls and asking help in dungeons They are working on a fix.
This is just off the top of my head, none of them have been fixed to my knowledge: -25 or more friends means you can't see anyone else on list. -Messages not received from friends (ie - no friendship essense or doors for you)...still unknown what causes this. It has nothing to do with that magical 25 number of friends. I can still get free rolls and borrow birds. -Some special abilities (birds and pigs) aren't working correctly (Example - spies healing) -Birds freezing in battle forcing you to restart battle -Enemy names and attack names not loading correctly leaving the 'file name' being shown -Some achievements sometimes don't register correctly as well. (Getting the ship/airship ones) None of the bugs are crippling but they are extremely annoying. I had the freezing bug happen during wave 9 of one of the chronicle dungeons levels...I was pretty annoyed. And with such a big emphasis on the social aspect(friendship essense, friendship doors, borrowing birds for daily dungeons and chronicle dungeons, showing off achievements)...the first 2 bugs I mentioned really hurt the game. Edit - The spies' healing may have been fixed. I can't check right now.
