Your npc friends you buy using premium currency act like normal friends as far as i know. they work for the friend gates and for free pig roll. not sure about friend essence though i have gotten free rolls from them. you start with 1.
fuuuu Reached level 11. Made great progress and was loving it. Game reset and so I logged out. Now i'm level 7 and have zero motivation to play it any more. : (
I have 2x Piggy McCool on my list.. could be a list bug.. i have 2 pages of friends and it shows on the top of both pages. either way.. just set up facebook account and add everybody in this thread and you will get more essence then you will ever need.
I have just played this for about an hour, and while it's not at all a deep strategy game, it's quite a bit of fun. I'm sure eventually I'll hit some paywall thing but for free I'm enjoying it a good bit.
I think you keep missing my point, the game does not provide more social options beyond Facebook. Suggesting to create a Facebook account doesn't address that. Anyway my major gripe with this game based on Facebook still stands which was annoying in Rayman Fiesta Run also, however everything else is awesome. Please don't respond with "just create a Facebook account" let's just agree to disagree that we see this differently.
I dislike being forced to do Facebook to get those features too but just made one for the game only. Requested ones here I've seen but need more, where do I find my direct link that some of you posted?
they will slowly roll it out world wide. not sure when. If you really want to play you can just make a free nz/ca account. you can sync save data using rovio account. (but i would wait to do that until the sync problem is fixed)
I have collected all 5 eggs and gotten to the end-game. Pros: 1) No paywall: I paid 5 dollars for the coins as I wanted to support the dev's. I definitely got the money's worth. I bought the golden chili and the golden pot for alchemy. That's all I used the coins for. Do you need those items? No, I never felt I needed them to win battles. You do not need to pay to get to the last boss. (After the boss is a different story) With some grinding and making the healing items, you should be able to beat the game if you use the right birds for each battle. 2) Classes: The number of strategies you can use this game is deceptively large. I used a bunch of different combinations throughout the game. My main party was the samurai, druid, and cannoneer at first. Then I changed it to samurai, druid, rogues. Depending on the battle, I had to switch samurai to warrior and rogues to trickster. There are also some battles where you have to use the Lightning Bird. I have no idea how you would beat some of the wizard bosses without the lightning bird. I'm sure there are other ways. Cons: Classes: Some classes are pretty useless. A lot of the later classes don't seem very useful. It does not help that they get very expensive. Classes cost 500+ (some 750, 1000) snortlings later on. A lot of the fun is trying new classes so this is a bummer. There are also special classes where you have to pay with golden coins. Paladin is 60, bard is 90, and the skulklings are like 160. That's almost 10 dollars for a class...ridiculous. You could try saving up the coins but good luck with that. I haven't seen all the classes yet, some might cost more. Dojo: Once you unlock the mighty eagle dojo, you can train each class up to 3 levels. Training to veteran, master and elite classes at the Mighty Eagle is insanely time consuming. 500 snortlings to upgrade to level 1, 2000 to get to level 2, I don't know how much for level 3. That's for ONE class, not one bird. Level 1: +20% to HP/Attack Level 2: +40% Level 3: ??? With 25 classes, that's potentially 75 unlocks if you want level 3 in all classes. Confusing Map: It's crazy hard to find the Golden Pig especially once you've unlocked the whole map. It tells you where it is but I don't memorize the names of the area. Materials: You have to click through all the levels to find the material you want. It's not too bad. There's only a few materials you need to farm. Other information for end-game: Chronicle Dungeon: Once you beat the last boss, a new dungeon opens. Each battle is 10 waves and you can win equipment with the roll. It goes quite far...I haven't started it. Red Key: Once you beat the level "Mouth Pool" (10 waves) which you can do before the last boss, you get the Red Key. It opens 3 areas... all 3 areas have INSANELY difficult battles. I beat 3 of them but got destroyed in the others. You will need high level classes and good equipment. (Maybe the equipment from the Chronicle Dungeon?) Some classes are locked behind these levels. Upgrading at the Dojo: You have a choice for 3 classes (that you've unlocked) at a time to upgrade. The classes change every 3 hours. If you have unlocked a lot of classes, it may take awhile for the ones you want to show up. I'm actually not unlocking classes on purpose so I get the ones I want to show up. Final thoughts: Fun game, worth the 5 dollars I paid. The end-game is too time/money-intensive. I'll probably stop after I try the Chronicle Dungeon. However, even without the end-game, you are looking at HOURS of free fun. You can always go back to 3 star everything too!
Very Enjoyable My review of the game is but it. No paywall like most other free to play games. The game is do able without paying a dime and even paying real cash to roll for items is not needed. You can farm for mats to make potions and such and there is even an end game. Get it now! Level 16 and plan on playing for a while. Friend me on Facebook and get free rolls and ability to use birds in daily dungeons! https://m.facebook.com/corey.larsen.54
I have really been enjoying this game, but now I'm stuck:/ I have no idea how to win this battle, iirc the name is moorlands2 and has 3 waves....all those big pigs destroy me, I have gotten to the final wave few times with one bird remaining and have no chance... Any help on this battle, bird combinations and classes etc? I'm level13 ATM. Edit: I added some of you guys on fb, I use the account Jusmo Lilhill.
Nice review, bambambam. Very helpful. Can you comment on how much grind you need to do? Is it possible to play each battle ONCE AND ONLY ONCE to reach the end and even get enough gears and resources for crafting (without grinding) to beat the final boss? Also, is it possible to score 3 stars on EACH BATTLE the first time you play it? That is, no grind needed replaying previous battles to level up enough to beat the next battle?
Maybe? ,NO and Yes if your good enough/high enough level/got a good strategy Crafting requires grinding period.
I've encountered a fairy large bug. When I access my friends (for free roll) or for daily dungeons/chronicle dungeon to borrow a bird, it just shows as loading. Needless to say, this makes the Chronicle Dungeons/Daily Dungeons impossible. Considering these two are the only things to do end-game... This pretty much kills the game for me. Oh, and if you are wondering. To get to Master level in a class, you need 300 golden coins. You either wait 100 days (3 golden coins a day) or have to pay $15 for one class. I would feel strongly about this but doesn't really matter with the friend list not loading.
Everybody has this bug. Once you get to many friends the friends list borks out. Just have to wait for them to fix it. its in a soft launch for a reason i guess
Yes, I just saw it on the facebook page. That's such a lame bug. Feel bad about removing people who I just added. Oh well, hopefully it's fixed soon and I can add people again.
