Red and black birds for big damage. Use red bird samurai second move every other turn to defend whichever bird he's attacking. White bird Druid to heal and do damage over time. Takes a while but you'll finish with three stars
It does seem to have some remaining issues which I hope gets ironed out soon - Multi-device syncing, Facebook account can't be changed once you log in for the first time (i.e. I wanted to change the FB account Epic uses to a new FB account I created just for social games like this and I can't seem to be able to do it), restoring purchases, etc. Otherwise good game..
I'm somewhere between the fourth and fifth eggs now, and nothing in this game, to this point, has been anything resembling a pay wall. Each non-daily battle can be completed pretty reliably by using a suitable combination of birds. The undead, for example, go down easily with the samurai for heavy special damage and damage mitigation, the druid(?) (female bird set to healer) for timed damage and healing, and rain bird (blue bird class) for distributed damage and healing or the stacked trio for heavy staged damage, counter damage, and damage control (usually rain bird is the safer choice). Which is not to say everything is great. The Facebook integration makes the daily dungeons extremely difficult without a high rank friend and significantly impacts access to some content and you can pretty easily see where some grind has been introduced to encourage some people to spend money. But overall, so far, balance is good enough to enjoy without spending money.

Yeah - after I noticed that Facebook integration was needed or very good to have in this game, I tried to create a new FB account just to link all my gamer friends there but the game does not allow me to switch to a diff. account after I linked my personal account. Let me try later to see if this has been fixed in the patch. I'll PM you checkmate & James!

But I also found this great thread containing the FB profiles of a lot of our TA Angry Birds Epic games! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=222919 On a sidenote I found out how to link Epic to a diff. FB account. Apparently you have to change the FB account from the iOS Settings app and after restarting the game it should now use the account you put in the iOS Settings Facebook profile. Hope this helps!
Anyone else having problems trying to access the friends list? I can accept and send essences, but the list is suddenly taking forever to load everyone and I can't visit people to use their golden pigs. It was working fine the night before last.
Since the patch (which fixed sending requests to friends to open gates), most of my FB Friends are displayed as "Loading..." And I cannot visit anyone's bases for the free Piggie rolls nor can I use their Birds for the Coop quests. Really frustrating.
A bug exists where if you have more than 30 friends this happens. You can solve it by reducing your amount of friends to 30 or less. I'm a little surprised they haven't fixed this bug yet, though they are probably more concerned with some other bugs which are likely costing them money.
Thanks, lessened my Gaming profile's friends to 25 and this solved the issue. Now back to rolling the Golden Piggie!
Downloading sounds Every time my son tries to play this game, it tries and fails to load sounds 1 - 5. Before the most recent patch, it actually got through the sound 4 and 5 downloads, but the most recent patch undid that. Usually it says "some sounds failed to download. They will download next time" or something like that. Sadly, they never download. So, the game has only partial sound. Anyone know why this is happening? Our connection is slow DSL, but there's no reason why the app has to keep cutting off the downloads like that.
This is more of a general troubleshooting tip, but can resolve some bugs in apps or temporary issues with a device (probably the former if either). Have you restarted your iPad? Also, have you verified that there is enough free space on your device to store whatever files may be downloaded?
Yeah, it restarted last on an iOS update. Right now it has 2.3 gigs free. No idea how much space the game needs for audio, but it shouldn't be 2.3 gigs!

Is there a point to the Marksmen? I can't seem to figure out when they would be better than Rougues who seems better in almost every way.
