Well I contacted them and had this reply. Hi, And thank you for contacting us and for playing Angry Birds 2! We are sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with the game. There is in fact a issue with the gems not syncing between devices. This is to deter cheating in the game by not enabling a player to sync gems between several devices multiple times. This is however something we have had extensive discussion about and have decided that this isn't the optimum solution to the problem and also isn't very user-friendly. We will find a better solution to be implemented in a upcoming update to the game. we are sorry for the confusion and inconvenience this issue causes you and we hope that you can still enjoy the game.
I am in the minority here but I have no problem with the lives system and actually kinda like it. It gives me enough to beat a few levels, mess up 5 times, and then put the game down and play something else. I am progressing perfectly fine in this and Peggle Blast, haven't spent a dime on either of them, and play them multiple times a day. What's not to like?
If you have an internet connection and without their F2P model, maybe. This game really fit a light casual gamer. If you enjoy big sessions, forget it.
Im not able to have huge play sessions, but ive always been able to get extra lives by watching adverts
So I asked what will happen to gems if they will l be merged when they do decide what to do since originally they for some reason decided to keep iap currency on different devices separate and the reply was pretty poor. It is great if you can simply not use the other device for the time being. I'm pretty sure that once a decision is made to change how the syncing works, they will make sure the better one of the games (ie. has more gems) will be the one synced and the other overwritten. If you have any other questions regarding our games, please do not hesitate to ask.
I agree with you, it's just my point of view. I know it's impossible to make a game for anyone. I'm an old gamer, from another time.. Maybe i should go back in time..
Anybody else notice that the bosses in later levels get significantly easier? The levels are still challenging, and I have to retry plenty of times, but I just beat Chef Pig (or maybe one of the other bosses) on level 70 and it was a cake walk that looked obvious enough to beat even for a first time player. The last few bosses have been just as easy, with plenty of obvious chain reactions and drops
That's true mostly, I had a hard time early on with some of them and these days they aren't too tough really.
The bosses feel to me like bonus stages - and I'm totally cool with it. I always look forward to them, even if they aren't so hard. I'm still loving this game, and the free to play mechanics remain inconsequential at level 150. They really made something special here!
I agree people should give it more of a chance I think I'm on about 170 now and am changing my rating to 5 because honestly although sometimes I'd like to play more in most cases I run out of time before I run out of lives as levels take longer and I'm better at the game so lose less often. It's a shame though as there's actually nothing here to even bother giving them money for....although gems and feathers seem not to sync between devices at all or properly for feathers the levels do so seemlessly.
Im still plugging away at this, at the end of the day its still angry birds and i enjoy playing angry birds. Ive got 4 birds at bronze, 2 about to go bronze, and the white one is still 90 feathers away. I dont understand the arena scoring system at all. I randomly come first, so im guessing im in a very small bracket. I wonder what will happen when im in the bronze tournament. Will i just be placed against randomly higher scores?
Yes it's harder to get number one because there's better people there or bots possibly? But I've seen scores now of up to 800k! Generally in most arenas I get 500-670 ish no idea how to beat people getting higher.
Make each device have a different Game Center account or never connect one device to the internet, ever.
Why? I don't get why they went sooooooo Freemium! But that subject has been widely covered. Nonetheless the graphics and sounds are nice!
Despite my enthusiasm for the game earlier in the thread the timers in the end are just too much. I have advanced past the first few worlds and now find myself in places where I can't even finish a level in 1 sitting. So it is basically try a level 5 times and then have to wait 2.5 hours for those lives to recharge. All of the positives are negated by this I am afraid. I went back and installed the original and now I remember just how fun it was trying to complete all of those levels with 1 or 2 birds. Continually probing for weakness and looking for that one perfect spot. I also think this game can't be doing nearly as well as they had hoped. It sits right now at 76 top grossing trending down. In the immediate days after release even it was hovering around 50. Maybe, just maybe, if it under performs enough we will see a full premium experience.
