There is a review up over at Pocket Gamer: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPad/Angel+Stone/review.asp?c=66807

It sums up the game for me.

After reading the comments here, I wanted to try the game out for myself.

After playing for a little while, I came to the conclusion that it seemed to me to play more like an interactive adventure. You really don't control your fighter, meaning your movements seem to have no effect. You just click to the next spot, and in between auto attacks, you swipe your special moves. So, you are basically just waiting for special moves downtime and selecting them once their up.

As the Pocket Gamer reviewer wrote, the game is a great watch, but not so much "play". That being said, if you're looking for a casual game of leveling and collecting skills/equipment, you might really enjoy the game.

I too played in beta for about 20min before stopping. I dont mind auto battlers since my fav current mobile game is Dragon Blaze. I just cant find anything fresh or rewarding about these games and the whole genre is in a rut. We are seemingly always after the next mythical multiplayer, loot fest, fun combat crawler that nevcer comes. Remember the mythical Infinity Blade Dungeons that was cancelled? I think Torchlight mobile is the next great hope and I cant wait to see how that dessapoints as well.

That said, I DL this game to give it a release go around and havent gotten around to it yet. Im sure not much has changed but ill give it a whirl anyway.

I honestly feel this game is getting a bad rap, it's not an auto battler for one. An auto battler would be click mission than set phone down come back and collect loot. This isn't the case. You must click skills and you must tap to move. You can auto path of you choose, but if you do that, can you really complain about auto battles?

This game feels like the closest thing to Diablo as I have seen with respect given to dungeon quest as someone mentioned. This has the darker feel, dungeon quest was cartoony, but a good game.

My only complaint is the lack of control options, I can deal with tap to move but really want a control stick, but please make sure you realize that your clicks in this game are needed. I'm at a solid 3.5 star if they change controls, I'm at a 4

It was made well but you have to remember the main attraction to these games. It's simple, two mechanics. Combat and loot. There's no combat in this game except swipe up, down, left, right. Skills are relatively simple, and class independence is weak.

Loot is huge considering that's what keeps you coming back for more. Now I'm not sure how end game is but people farm and grind dungeons for chances at loot. What's great about this genre is its premium, and you know that your hardwork will way off at the end of the day with a sweet piece of gear.

If this game doesn't give out gear and expects people to gamble for a chance at it than it might fail. The fact that there's energy which stops you from farming epic loot makes it hard to be attracted to this game. Dungeonquest did so well when it first came out was because you could play as much as you wanted, and if you played enough you found tons of loot. You didn't have to worry about the devs locking you out of loot since you didn't pay. That game had lots of IAPS but once again it had nothing to do with the main mechanic of these games (gear). It was all vanity and inventory slots.

This game has pretty visuals and def Diablo-Esque look to it. But.. If it locks players out loot it'll be a no Bueno.

I'd totally kill for a Diablo like game that followed in the footsteps of implosion. Torchlight 2 is coming to mobile soon, that'll be fantastic hopefully.

I've never been an MMO guy but I saw there was hype for this and decided to check it out. What I thought at first was this looks pretty cool to being left feeling mostly meh.

The visuals are stunning for an IOS game for the most part. The character designs look great and are some kind of Bloodborne meets Anime style that I totally dig.

After that it's pretty much downhill from there. I think I'm just not gonna be impressed by any game that says [GET] on the App Store.

After Implosion I feel like everything else is Just a soft serving of garbage casual gaming.

After I beat The World Ends with You, Chaos Rings 3 & Transistor I'm done with mobile gaming. I'm getting a PS4 soon anyway.

I absolutely love this game! Great job devs. Only a few minor complaints but not much I would change about this game. I like all the activities that are available especially the PVP and team dungeons. Really looking forward to the first raid. I'd love to see real-time guild battles. That would be insane. Also I'd like to see the addition of vanity items like costumes you can wear that show up instead of your armor. Not that the armor is bad looking in this game, it's not... I'm just a sucker for those items.

My character can't move, but when i touch to move around, i've seen her being hit by the mob, lose HP, but she just stand there, after i touch the come back crystal a bit, they sent me out like normal, with result like normal, not fail @@ I think my character can move and fight in there, but however everything i could see is she just stand there. I've try on both my ipad and on FB is just the same @@ I think is really a big bug. Just got this bug since yesterday, i can go to DoC normal at friday.

I think I may have written this game off too quickly. I actually really enjoy it and it's turning into my fav hack n slash on mobile. People are overreacting on the auto path feature. Basically ur guy will move to the next pack of mobs on his own. You can tap to move him as well, but he will walk automatically. I actually really like this feature and it just does what I'd be doing anyway. The loot, upgrade, skill system is actually kind of nice. Each area has 10 stages that you play solo then there's a multiplayer stage in each area as well. These multis are prob the best hack n slash experience on mobile and it's easy to get a group, it matches for you.

I'm glad I gave this another shot, it's shaping up nicely and is a simple, effective take on the genre.

I as well feel like people write this game off too quickly. Im lv. 20 now and currently on the 3rd map area and I tell you this is not just a watch and click skill game. The bosses get tougher and you have to position your hero most of the time especially when you're a mage type or ranged character because they tend to get very squishy.

Additionally, I feel like its a great game for me because I can only play in short bursts, usually outside, and do not have the luxury of fully controlling the character in times that I'm not fully focused on the game due to my other duties.

Best game for me so far. In my staples along with Vainglory and Hearthstone.

So I made it into the pvp battle zone and got owned pretty fast. The guys in there were actualy moving in and out, dodging attacks, using skills strategically, etc.

I started tinkering with the settings, because there is no way you're going to be successful in the battle zone with the game doing half of the playing for you.

If you turn off the auto-pathing, and in the settings turn off the target trace (this is the auto targeting option for skills), then the game changes tremendously. No more auto-play. You can control your caracter's movement, and have control of the skills, as well. With target trace on, your character will hit the closest target with a skill as soon as you hit he skill button. But with it turned off, hitting a skill button only lights it up. Then you have to tap a monster or the direction you want the skill to fire on for the skill to actually get used.

If you make those two changes, it's a whole new game. I also turned off the gesture based skill casting, and just go with the buttons on the screen, but that's just preference.

I'm actually enjoying it as well.

Can you only play a mission a certain amount of times in a day? Trying to get this skill and I'm level 10. I'm 4/5 to get the crashed skill on mission 7. It won't let me play it again I need to buy mission restart for 50 gems and I'm not out of energy.

    If so, odd paywall.

Yes you can only play a mission a certain amount of times I think 10? But you can just use gems to start that over and they give them out at a good rate anyway.

Thank you for those tips! Made a difference for sure. I'm also enjoying the game after first initially deleting it.
