Do you think there is gonna be big competition between the android and iphone games, I saw a demo of the game called neocore and it looks pretty sweet. The rest of the app games I don't care for but they are all free so can't expect anything just yet.

Listen: I have a G1, and no, there will be no competition. The hardware is simply awful. The accelerometer barely registers movement (even the street view thing doesn't really work right), the CPU chugs away at some of the simplest things (there's a Game Boy Color emulator out and it runs that at like 5 FPS), and the touch screen has spotty sensitivity with no multi-touch support. I love the Android OS and the background applications and such, but I assure you that the G1 at least will not offer any competition to the iTouch platform. Future handsets might, but then there'd be the problem of people who bought G1's and can't run any of the games out. Ah well. At least I still have an iPod Touch and DS for games.
