I appreciate the nomination, but my comment stands. Sure, it was a bit hyperbolic, but marijuana is incredibly safe, and extremely non-toxic. I'd say most people's households are littered with drugs and chemicals significantly more harmful than cannabis.
Correct. The prohibition of cannabis has nothing to do with health or safety. In fact, numerous studies even suggest cannabis destroys cancer cells (in addition to it's other well documented medicinal properties.) On the other hand; did you know that your toothpaste probably contains formaldehyde? It's a plant... so technically it is one of the safest substances known to man as the majority of plantlife is harmless (the exception being irritants like poison ivy/sumac and insectivores like venus flytrap/pitcher plants) Now, what you do with that safe substance... well that's what makes it unsafe. Aspirin is sold over the counter and taken by millions of people everyday, but in the words of Kat Williams, "Aspirin is perfectly legal, but if you take 13 of those m*****f*****s itll be your last headache"
