Well, if there is little to no interest in a game, you will actually make more money at a higher price point. This was discussed at length at GDC last week. Developers have had a decent amount of success in raising the price of their "dead" games, since the people who randomly stumble across them or find them through word of mouth generally don't seem to care about the price of the game as opposed to the new release crowd that won't buy anything over 99 cents.
this one claims "if no one buys," then the dev will have no sales. That wrong, the dev will have a sale because they need to sell the game! If he is not selling a game for $10 (and Im not pointing at Crusade of Destiny), its not because of the lack of interest in the game, its because the price is scaring people away from it. If the game is dropped to $1, people will buy it. The dev dropped the price because the game was not selling, now it is selling. If he kept it at $10, well then he isnt going to sell the game. The dev needs money. If he has no sales because of his game, he will drop the price (this doesn't work for those $1 games though).
Yeah, I've been getting a little tired of it lately. Being tact usually filters that message I'm trying to get across. If I bruise an ego here or there, I honestly don't care.
More like "ever heard of being a somewhat decent person?" But yeah. I think that SHOULD be the next posty.
