And why is that funny? Not everyone reads the front page everyday, nor is everyone interested a particular game enough to follow it everyday. I was surprised a CoD game decided to take on a zombie form too, as I have no interest in CoD games and only have a vague idea that it's some form of modern warfare game.
You know the saying "ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it"? Well, ignorance of what is clearly written on the front page article is no excuse for "self owns" in responses to said article.
What kind of idiotic comparison is that? You have to read/know the law. You don't have to read the front page of this forum. Some people have the page saved to the discussions page, not the front page article. It's like some weird cult for this game putting down anyone who's not a fan of it or whatever, so sick of it.
it was a joke (at least mine was) its just pretty surprising you havent heard of nazi zombies. Or dont know what COD is. We're sick of people not reading the front page then putting out some useless comment.
It was a comparison. While you don't have to read the front page when responding to a topic in which the front page article is clearly quoted, or, worse yet, responding to the front page article itself, it proves quite beneficial. One cannot simply state "well, I didn't read the article in question" when responding to said article. Or, in this case, it was a response to the topic in the forums, but even then it's less of an excuse as the first post of said topic showed the app description via the app store, and that stated this: So even if that poster didn't read the front page article, they should have been able to read the first post in the game's topic on the board, AND they should've been able to see that right up front in the description on the app's page in the app store itself. Three strikes, yer out!!!
Oh, and btw Aurora, you may have an excuse as you're not a fan of the game (and therefore wouldn't normally look at the app description). But the poster in question, however, made it pretty clear that they were a fan of the series and knew a bit about it. So, that poster doesn't have a good excuse as you do. You're not a fan, but that poster, however, is, and they had ample opportunity to understand the situation.
how about an appstore posty? http://appshopper.com/education/math-homework-solver math app is on sale for 50% off...down to $1.99 from $2.99...
That is AWESOME. It would be funny for any app... but a MATH app.... I mean c'mon. teach yer kids dat 2 + 2 = 3 derrrr
Aurora's response to the COD:Zombies posty reminds me of another post of his/hers from the "best animated films" thread. I posted this: This was Aurora's response: I realize that there are A LOT of teenagers who frequent these forums, so many of them have never seen, nor heard of one of the most epic animated films of all time, but the 'i've never heard of it, so it must be stupid' attitude was worthy of a posty IMO.
Haha, yea I totally deserved this. I've never played a CoD game before (and skipped the article because I don't really like FPS's) and assumed the worst because Activision tends to spam sequels a lot.... Edit: Double Posty, I just realized that I got the publisher wrong too!
