For sure, I'll keep you guys posted. I'm fascinated to see if there is an actual human on the other end of the "Report a Concern."
I did not look at the post # - was just looking at pages and figuring 10 posts / page.. My bad.. Not being a good detail man today. Well, the more important issue is the concerns raised by candywriter. Hopefully more people will get involved
I reported as well. I've found the App store to be something akin to the Wild West of game development, especially for indies, but this is a bunch of BS.
Can I ask a question about the app itself? Does the game support playing more then 1 hand at a time? I have 21 Pro and sometimes get bored playing only 1 hand at a time. Thanks!
Thanks, schplurg, you rock! Good to see a person with good principles enter the arena. Incidentally, I'd like to point out that my experience with other devs in the App Store has been VERY positive, despite the intensity of competition amidst 65k apps. The good guys and the smart guys both know that consumers aren't out there trying to shop out blackjack games for instance when the prices are so cheap. This Doron character is completely detached from the reality of the marketplace by thinking he needs to spend so much time ragging on other blackjack apps. Its not like shopping for a car, for example.
Hey, iago, unfortunately BWP does not support multi-hand right now but it'll go in in a future update providing we can shake Doron off our back and ramp up sales a bit. We didn't include it initially because of interface constraints/cleanliness. First up, however, is to put global scores in for each casino that will offer "all-time" as well as "today" leaderboards that refresh daily.
I think it's kinda funny how Doron thinks his app's 1-star reviews are bogus when he specifically said it happened after lowering his price. How about this Doron: more people are playing your app now it's cheap and thus more people are realizing it's not great.
I reported a concern about his review just now... good luck to you and your endeavors. I don't need a promo code, unless nobody else wants one!
Downranked and concern'ded with this: "Devloper is trying to rank competing blackjack applications down by buying them and then rating them one-star under two different accounts accounts (dorcino and GameDev), and is leaving reviews bashing the other developers while effectively trying to promote his own. This is ethically bankrupt behaviour and underhanded dealing, and it should be dealt with." By the way, what's with dorcino's 5-star review saying only "poms rule!!!!"? That's just ... weird.
Just stopped by the App Store to read some of these reviews. I cannot believe this guy hasn't put together that his sale caused more people to try his game and thus caused the influx of ratings. Does he actually think it's because his game became SO popular, it was sabotaged by competitors? I don't know what would make me sadder - that he actually believes this or that he thinks App Store consumers are this naive. I don't envy the position Candywriter et al are in. What a loon.
Thanks guys, just sent out the 50 promo codes via PM. Thanks for your support and I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.
It sounds like this pepper soft guy likes playing nasty games all in an attempt to make his blackjack app look better.
