Freemyapps is a crap company. Was working fine until the redesign, but now is a pile of garbage. No way to get support, seems I'll have to plaster the Internet until they pay attention. Here's my poorly worded email:
Sometimes you indeed need to wait about an hour to get the credits for an app - today it happened too with today's sponsor app, Toy Village. Nevertheless, the VAST majority of apps are rewarded at once and even with the new site.
Trust me, I waited. Days. I still don't have the credits. I stand by, at this point, the fact that they're a company who doesn't care about their users and if it doesn't work,they don't care and have no interest in making it right. But they'll sure take the credit for us using the apps, as is clear by the app being listed under "Redeemed" So no. This isn't just about waiting. I wish it was.
Is it the first time you've downloaded the apps on your iTunes account? If it is, then the points should work, but otherwise they won't. Personally I've only ever had one problem, which was downloading a gift app, but that worked when I reclicked it in the downloaded section so it has worked perfectly for me. EDIT: Wait, did you say the app already shows you having it installed? That either means you'd already downloaded the apps or that you did get the points for it (that or via some strange bug it didn't work at all).
YES. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I'm not an idiot. I understand the rules and stipulations. Any of the apps have not, on any iTunes account, been downloaded before. That said, earlier on I had a few apps I'd previously installed and I tried it, thinking it wouldn't work. Well, it did. So that's not a hard and fast rule. Regardless, Back to posting about this wherever I can. I'll be calling tomorrow
I was thinking of possibly getting Clear Vision. It's one of those games where I kind of wonder about the 5-star rating (like there's something you get in return for rating it 5 stars), but maybe I'm wrong. My kids got Pocket God long ago.
That Clear Vision game is supposed to be like 30 minutes, tops. Whoever is getting it off FMA needs to get back in here and give us the real scoop.

New sponsor app is IAP-loaded Tap Pet Hotel (deleted). +80 credits. Works on iPhone 3G. Credits were added within 60 seconds on all my iOS devices.
It's weird, when I go to download this I get a message "Security Info Required: To help ensure the security of your Apple ID we require additional information." When I hit continue, it asks for my Apple ID password. Strange since I entered it just seconds ago. wth??
Ok so, are apps randomly disappearing after you download them? I download the sponsor app, then I open them for more than 30 seconds. I go back to FMA and the sponsor app is gone. So I don't even get a chance to get credits. What the hell?
Woohoo! Max Payne is back! And just in time too since the new sponsor app gave me just enough to redeem it.
Yeah. This happened to me too... And cjsbug, yes that happens every now and again... About once every 6 months or so... Just an extra added security making sure you are who you say you are, I assume. I've done it about 3 times in the last year and a half. Each time having to change my security question... Haven't had any problems after doing so... It did scare me the first time, so I signed in on my PC to see if iTunes asked me for my PW a second time, and it did. Since then, I've done it on my iDevice.
There was a text app that appeared for me yesterday but never got points for it and it's gone from the page but todays app works fine
yeah, i would say screw that Text+ i've installed it over 3 separate appearances on FMA and never received credit for any. they say you have to also create an account to get the credit. i did, but with a throwaway email address (not associated with my device or FMA account) and still did not get credit. i would suggest skipping Text+, unless you truly want to create an account with them....and even then maybe not.
2 more new sponsor apps. A scorebig and wibbit? If I didn't remember wrong. Weirdly, I only get them both on my ipad. I saw both of them on my ipod but after downloading one, the other disappeared.
