I could see where the Apple apps would be good for those that can use them (especially if you have an iPad). But I have so many word processing, movie and music creation apps on my PC that I rarely use (I used to be WAY more into making videos, but frankly, the kids stole away any time for that and any relaxation I get now is....well, gaming...and even that time is sadly lacking ). For my little 8 GB iPhone, I don't see me using those apps a whole lot. But I know they are top notch so for those that can use them, I would probably agree they're ones to get.
I could finally use my Amoebattle code This site is awesome! Now I've got 500 credits left, I hope they release more games here, the ones I've already bought the ones I wanted from the Gifts.
I'm doing this as well. I have about 2400 credits saved up right. Just need about 2-3 more sponsor apps.
I have 1300 on my iPad and 1500 on my iPhone, so another week or more of grinding to get these 2 apps
Amoebattle is the iPhone version right? So does it run smoothly on iPad? And what are the graphics like? Cheers.
I worry about that. I see the logic behind it, but what happened last time was that I replaced my iPad, restored and went to FMA. It showed my available credits, but wouldn't give me anything when I installed them. Followed the steps and cleared my cache to reinstall the profile and I lost all my credits. Now if what you say is true, and it is tied to my device, I won't lose my credits. But in reality since I can't seem to get new credits, might as well give this a try.
First new sponsor app since friday or so: Snoopy's Street Fair (120 credits). Since it's a heavy IAP app (like Smurf's Village, Kingdom Age…) it actually works even on ancient iPhone 3G. Redeemed.
Does anyone know of a site like Freemyapps that works with the uk app store? I really loved the idea of the site and saved my points like crazy until I had 1820, only to be told my redeem code is valid for the us only. Way to go apple, epic fail. Anyway I'd love to see a site like that that works here in blighty?
^ Get an U.S. iTunes account. It's very easy. Search the web for a step-by-step guide. You can always switch between your home country account and the U.S. account later (for app updates p.e.). You can make fully use of FMA and can get free apps that won't show up in your home country's iOS App Store for some reason (this happens 5 to 8 times a year). BTW first I thought that I won't get credits for a sponsor app which I had previously installed. Snoopy's Street Fair was the first FMA's sponsor app that I had before. When Snoopy's was published in November 2011 I tried it for 30 minutes (until you need the first IAP to proceed in a reasonable manner)—so it last about as long as a TV episode—and deleted the app then. Anyway I got the FMA credits on all four iOS devices.
Wish Snoopy's Fair wasn't 101 MB. I love that most of the sponsor apps are usually in the 10-20 MB range, but don't like having to make room for one. That said, it's still good to see a new sponsor. Now add some more gifts please!
I tried that, it doesn't work anymore. I tried 3-4 times with no success, even used US address, phone number, zip code etc. Shame really, I only wanted it to redeem that one code.
Strange. It worked for years very reliably and I am using my US account right now and it works like ever. Can anybody confirm this? New sponsor app. Tiny Village (+80 credits, works on iPhone 3G). Deleted immediately because it's an IAP monster. And I played We Rule before and that satisfied my needs for such timewasting build-and-expand games for the next 20, 30 years or so.
it says "Credits by end of day" does that mean we won't get them right after we "play" for 30 seconds?
I created a US account last week when I saw this thread, so it should work. Cool site btw, got Reactable and Max Payne.
No. On iPhone 3G and iPhone 4 it needed two minutes until the credits were added and on iPad 1 and iPad 3 it needed so long as never before: Ten minutes. I think they mean the in-game currency. Wait or pay… And it's not true what I saw on the FMA's "Processing your download…" page. You don't need an iTunes US account for downloading the sponsor apps. You can download and cash credits with any account. You need an US account only for getting the hard earned gift apps.
ooo... just noticed they added some new apps for gifting!! Pocket God Clear Vision Flick Home Run WeeMee Avatar Creator Elmo's Big Birthday dunno if they added more, but those are the ones that I noticed
Clear Vision just announced they got 1 million paid downloads... and have a 5 star average rating out of 110,000 iTunes ratings... =oO But yeah, the only one I wanted was Pocket God... I've been meaning to get it for a while now... but never had the drive to. Went ahead and cashed in some points. =oP
