Just downloaded it and played through the first couple of missions. It's a very polished game. I think I'm really going to enjoy this one. The presentation really grabs you from the get-go. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of the two-finger camera system. I guess it's a necessary compromise, but it feels clumsy to me. Everything else about the game thus far is very inviting and very promising.

No, that's not how it works. It installs a Safari Profile, different from a cookie and registers your device ID so the offers you complete are tracked by that and stored on their server.
One more question from a freemyapps.com newbie. How often do they change the offers? I've got 570 points and the remaining offers are all for iPad, which I don't have. Afraid Amoebattle will be gone before I can get up to the 800 points.
It varies wildly. Typically I get 2-6 a week...but you have to check back often to get the most out of it, as a lot of times offers come and go pretty quickly. Friday is the one day they just about always seem to have at least one. You can follow them on Twitter or FB to get a heads up on some of them.
Thanks, I could get Angry Birds Space for instant gratification, but frankly have had enough of the birds. So, hopefully, Amoebattle will stick around. Especially at that point price. If not, it'll definately stay on my wish list. Just have spent enough real money lately.

I'm running iOS 5.0.1 on my iPad 1st gen (32GB). When I selected boot camp level from campaign, it crashes on the loading screen.

Hi DigitalB33R, My guess is your iPad is running out of memory. Try closing all the other programs running in the background and restart the iPad. Make sure when you run Amoebattle, nothing else is running. Hopefully this will allocate enough to Amoebattle to allow it to load the mission. Lead Designer, Amoebattle

Just FYI. They added a bunch more offers. So I was able to get enough points for Amoebattle! Anyone who didn't have enough points, be sure to check as there's about 5 or so new offers that weren't there this morning. (There's a radio one that says it's iPad only but it's also for iPhone so ignore the warning.)
Uh, create a us account? Takes next to no effort. And, honestly, it's pretty clear that those are the requirements when you start the process I'm ticked off that when I has to replace my iPad, I lost all my points and they've continually ignored all of my requests for support, so I'm not too keen on them at this point.
