I've been playing Amazing Machines for the last hour or so, and I'm really liking it. It's not so hard that only hardcore puzzle-gamers can enjoy it, but it will often take several tries to get it right: utilizing the available tools and tweaking their positions to get your plasmatron sphere into the machine. The game also offers gamers the ability to create their own levels. There are already several original levels available to try (that means if you create a level, you're free to share it and challenge everyone else). I like the fact that an infinite number of different levels can be created. Perhaps in future updates, the dev will offer more tools with which players can avail themselves. This game currently brings to mind another game I'm playing: Feed Me Oil insofar one has to use the tools provided (of course, the fewer the better) to achieve the ultimate goal. The background music is rather innocuous. The only problem is is that it's on a loop, and when it loops around, you get a load of static in your ears before the music starts up again. This definitely could be improved. It's a small matter, but one if remedied will make a nice change. There's nothing more annoying than hearing a big skip in the music while you're trying to concentrate. Other than that, the introductory graphics are nice, and I appreciate that a premise was fleshed out (the mad scientist) to connect it to the game as a whole. Nice job overall.
