I totally agree with everything you have just said however, I adore this game. It is super fun to click just "one more time" and that is what makes it addictive for me. Am I going to sit and marathon it for hours, heck no. But as I was waiting in the airport, on a flight and waiting for my coffee it was a great way to past the time. At a price of FREE, you can't go wrong. Is it time that I won't get back and have little to show for.. Sure, I agree it is. But does striking a chest in hopes of some best loot best twiddling my thumbs? I'd say so. I gave the game a five star review and appreciate the creativity and monetization mechanism for the dev. At a price of 0 dollars and 0 cents, you have little to lose.
Anyone else having issues watching ads? Perhaps you can only watch so many per day? Dev, can you comment?
It would take nothing to make a "game" out of this. Have something to do with the money. Have a random battle appear every so many clicks with an enemy popping up that challenges your character's current load-out. Maybe have a toggleable permadeath mechanic where you play Ironman mode where you can die only once in exchange for better drops. I dunno. Put me in the camp of people who downloaded this, "played" it for five minutes and then deleted it.
I agree with you. There are plenty of ways to make this more engaging but I don't think the devs are going for that. It's supposed to be the slot machine mechanic behind all our big games without any fluff like gameplay, story, or fancy graphics. This doesn't make for compelling gameplay or for much at all. But it's well done so I've watched ads to support them and I'm going to finish a rare suit and probably play something else. It's exactly what you read on the tin, get a piece of loot, keep it or don't. Plenty of clickers, RPGs, and just grindy games in general have been made around the idea of distilling a game down to the loot cycle. This is the only one I know that takes it all away, and that makes it a little boring. It's almost not a clicker and it's certainly not an idle clicker but there's no reason not to download it, watch an ad, and wonder what you're doing with your life.
I don't know, somehow I am pretty addicted to it and I play many clickers. I do notice that the drop frequency is improving and I am sure it has something to do with 1 or more of the combo: 1.Total gold earned 2.Total gear points 3.Total gear points that are the main stats of your class I am getting way more greens now and blues are not super hard to get anymore. I also have one purple. It's a Skinner box / treadmill any way you slice it. Most games are. It's just down to bare bones. This game is going to be very divisive. You are either going to be addicted or board out of your mind. I am pretty hooked. It would be nice to see more stuff added to what is there but that is not going to stop me from clicking on that chest lol.
Game gets super boring if you play for extended time. I currently have 2 Epic Items, everything else is Legendary or Higher. Never seem to get anything remotely better Okay for passing the time but I haven't gotten better gear in hours of intermittent playing. I also can't watch ads to increase my chances of winning so this game will soon be deleted. Loot level - 64,292
Response to "No Life" Comment I'd like to present an alternative perspective to the person who posted, "It's almost not a clicker and it's certainly not a clicker but there's no reason not to download it, watch an ad, and wonder what you're doing with your life." Some of us lead very productive lives. As an example, I work as a Cloud-based developer for a company that specializes in SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Cloud services. I also have a thriving tutoring business. On top of that, I do my best to be a good husband and father. So, after a long day, I like to decompress by playing this game. I find the idea of obtaining the red "peerless" arsenal appealing. After using my mind so much during the day, at night, I like to play a game where I do not have to think so hard. Just providing an alternative to the generalization that mindless games are only for those who are lifeless. Just my two cents, frisbee10461
As a document specialist I *completely* understand what you are talking about! Sometimes I want to think and other times I want to play something very laid back with the tv running in the background. I can also carry on a pretty good conversation with anyone while playing this game (maybe I am playing the game in the background at times). Understanding that there are games for different moods and energy levels is important. Btw, you guys with red and orange items make me sick lol! How many hours did you put in to start seeing those pop up? Just like to know what I am heading for. =]
I can't give you a time frame exactly as I play the game intermittently and when you're clicking away the time just seems to blow by. I think I had about 40,000 gold before I started seeing the Peerless items. Granted, as you find better loot, the odds of seeing better loot increase. I recall opening 5 Heroic Chests in a row and 2 Epics back to back as well. The longer you play the better it gets but finding Peerless items is few and far between. The only thing worse is getting a New Peerless item that is worse than one you already have. Also, I have been in contact via email with the Dev ( awesome guy!) and some of you may have noticed that the ability to view ads disappears daily. There is a fixed amount of ads you can watch daily, however, it does reset the following day. Lastly, if you enjoy the game, don't forget to leave a rating on TA forums and a review on the AppStore. Happy Grinding everyone!
My assumption is that the loot drops are based off the loot stat so it becomes a game of click it and if I see green sparkles or no sparkles I hit sell right away, look at the stat up arrows on my main stats (unless everything else is green), hit equip and if I don't see a sparkle on my loot stat I switch back and sell it. So I stare in the middle of the screen and don't actually read anything. I don't mean to say that only people with no life will enjoy this. This is personally my favorite bathroom break game but I find it hard to pull up any other time because I have so many other clickers that give me a more satisfying sense of progression or have more interactivity. Also, I'm still one piece away from getting a full set of rare armor! Does anyone else feel that gloves and necklaces are the hardest pieces to come by?
This!!!!!!!! I hate gloves!!!! They have always been the last item I have had to get to complete a set. Grats on being so close to your rare set!
Ads Help! Watching the Ads definitely helps! After watching my first ad today I lucked into this puppy!
Loot results Figured I would post this. I button mashed my way through 10 rounds of the 2 minute increased loot chance and this is what I got: Uncommon - 138 Rare - 46 Heroic - 20 Epic - 6 Legendary - 10 Peerless - Zero : ( Note: Before I started tracking, my first 2 minute increased loot chance I pulled a Peerless
frisbee10461's status Hello, all! frisbee10461 here! I am progressing nicely in this game, though not as well as the previous poster. Here are my stats: 2 red [Peerless] 6 orange [Legendary] 4 yellow [Epic] My Loot Level is 54,685. My Gold is 50,248. Is anyone creating a Wiki page for items? If so, I have a Peerless item directly below the Peerless Vial item [upper-left corner]. It is called the Horrible Shock Cape. What I noticed [at least for me] is that my Loot Level and Gold are about the same. So, whenever my Gold increases to the point where it will overtake my Loot Level, I get an item I need. This just may be a coincidence, but this has worked for me thus far. Thanks, frisbee10461
Got my first peerless just after 13900 coins and loot level 24300. Additionally I have 7 heroic and 4 epic. What's the earliest anyone can remember getting a peerless item?
I think I was around 30k coins. Impressive feat. I will mention that you can get a Peerless on your very first pull of the game... However, the odds are a staggering 1 in 500,000... Good luck on pulling that off and if you do go buy a lottery ticket .
