The evil wizard, RNG, has stolen all of your hard-earned loot, and hidden it in countless treasure chests! To get it back, you must use your skill at opening treasure chests, to, well... open treasure chests. Open the chest, get loot, and equip it to increase your odds of getting even better loot. Grind until you get the best loot! - Over 1400 pieces of loot to collect! - 7 levels of loot rarity to grind! - Endless chests to open! Amazing Loot Grind is an experiment. The game attempts to strip the loot mechanic of the RPG genre to its bones, while still creating an engaging and enjoyable gameplay experience. Further, Amazing Loot Grind subtly forces players to reexamine what exactly they are doing as they pour hours into the slot machine mechanics that have come to represent the apex gameplay experience of our favorite games. Why play that fantasy MMO or that space shooter/RPG hybrid when you could get the same endgame experience with a few taps on your phone? Not for me thanks. Montanx Well-Known Member Mar 3, 2012 1,110 6 38 San Diego #8 Montanx, Nov 12, 2015 Crikey this game is odd yet somehow engaging. You literally just open A chest and either sell or equip, then Repeat. There are no iap, you can watch an ad every 2 min for better loot bonus. So basically this is just a clicker vessel for ads, which I don't mind. Duivs Well-Known Member Apr 13, 2013 1,762 0 0 Guess what? Classified. I do however like the experiment part of it! I wonder if this will become big despite lacking 'proper' gameplay... pseudoart Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2013 59 0 0 #10 pseudoart, Nov 12, 2015 Ridiculous. I can't stop clicking that damned chest. 5 stars for addictiviness and 1 for lack of gameplay, averages to 3. Plus one for style. wyzau Well-Known Member Oct 3, 2012 298 1 18 #11 wyzau, Nov 12, 2015 can you use your gold for something? or is it just a sort of scoring? Montanx Well-Known Member Mar 3, 2012 1,110 6 38 San Diego #12 Montanx, Nov 12, 2015 No. Loot, sell/equip repeat, thats it. Im a big fan of the ad based iap vs cash, it truly is an experiment of a game. Just a thought. 4/5 stars . I put down my phone. It's raining outside my window. I lost all track of time while watching the rain falling down. It seems like it's washing away all the pain and agony in the world. Such a very peaceful moment. nosoup4crr Well-Known Member Apr 29, 2011 689 0 0 #15 nosoup4crr, Nov 12, 2015 It's a game of slots. Wrap something in 8-bit, give it some roleplaying trimmings, and earn extra stars. Sorry, the appeal is lost on me. collasta Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2014 88 0 6 #16 collasta, Nov 12, 2015 Last edited: Nov 12, 2015 Sad that it sounds like this doesn't have a hook. I'm going to comparing this to football clicker for a mindless one to tap at while watching videos. Anyone in this thread feel like comparing the two? Edit: hard to compare as this clicker is not speed based. I was expecting that as chests get better they would need more clicks to open but so far it has been one click only. Will post more detailed thoughts after work. Duivs Well-Known Member Apr 13, 2013 1,762 0 0 Guess what? Classified. I've spent about 15 minutes with this, and had enough. I can play those other games for hours and hours, and continue to want more. And it's not (just) because of the loot mechanic in those games. That's just icing on their storytelling and exploration filled cakes. This game has successfully stripped away all of the cake, and left the icing. Without that cake, I DO question the point of playing THIS game, and doubt I will ever be returning to it. But then I'm also not willing to sit at a slot machine and plug away at it endlessly hoping for a big win. If you are a person that could do that, watch out. This game could end up being more of a time suck than you want in your life, because it does look good, has pleasing visual and audio feedback when you find a good piece of equipment, and is real easy to click just one more time.
