Friend' sign Hey! Don't know if the dev is around or if it has already been mentioned in the thread, but the GameCenter friend' sign are too big. Or not subtle enough. It's too much in our face and it's even hidding the rider sometimes. Otherwise, super great game!
How long have you been playing this to have the wing suit, all the duration boosts and 16,000+ coins :O One thing that I wasn't sure that you added was that you get speed boosts from doing tricks. Doing these whilst being chased by the elder is the only way to outrun him.
I had the Testflight version before the game went live. But I had to get the full version when it came out so I can use Gamecenter with it -- and it reset my progress except for the coins. Coins seem very easy to accumulate, though. I have over 40,000 now. At some point you'll just have a ton of coins and no use for them. I did briefly touch on the speed boosts for tricks, but I added it to the elder section. Thanks!
i also had the test flight build, but I wanted to start from scratch. FYI, i was not able to delete any of the save data until I went into Settings, Usage found the game in there and deleted it that way, FYI.
Had trouble with the grinding the bunting in the tutorial. The rider just wouldn't land on the bunting and would drop straight through it. Deleted and reinstalled and it worked first time. Love the art and style of the game, the rocks can be hard to see, esp when it's night, and I keep thinking the Chinese lanterns are coins lol, I'm stuck on getting a coin magnet for my next mission, there hasn't been a single one appear at all yet, plenty of blue feathers but no magnets. Do they only appear after a certain distance?
I had the magnet almost halfway upgraded before I ever collected one. It definitely took me a while to pass that mission as well.
Just unlocked Paz and got my current HS of 66,231 (not much but I'm proud) Paz is very different, it's cool - he plays very grounded and FEELS heavy, you have to take a different approach to the game. Each character plays very different actually, they are more than just a reskin. Each one requires a different mindset.
Wait till you unlock the last character. It's absolutely bonkers. I miss having him unlocked, but will get there again (I hope!).
What a true delight. Just got to sit down for a real go at it. Unlocked the first character and honed my skills a bit. I think I'm liking her ease of flipping more than Alto's.
I didn't even realize there was a shop to spend coins, I thought they were only for points. I still loved the game but some upgrades would really spice it up
I'm not really sure how to use the wing suit correctly. I just realized you TAP the icon to activate it, but how to control?
You need to be in the air for it work, and then you drag your finger around the screen to guide him. I gave some more details in my guide.
Oh I just figured it out, thank you that's a game changer. It's actually simpler to use than you describe tho, you don't need to drag your finger across the screen. You just tap the icon to activate it, then you just press down anywhere to glide. The longer you press the more you'll turn upwards. You can then deactivate the boost by pressing the icon before it runs out, and build it back up again. I've been able to have it active for large segments. So wicked.
Amazing Game! One comment however, I find the Hover power-up pretty useless, in fact it's more of a nuisance since it hinders coin pickup on the ground. Either make the Hover power bestow a tiny bit of magnetism, or make the coins generally higher off the ground.
Cool, will edit it, thanks. I only got it working a few times, and that's how it felt like it worked. Hopefully I'll get it again soon and can confirm it works like you said. Edit: But I did loops in this video. I must have done some dragging to control it, no? Was severely sleep-deprived the last few days, so I don't remember exactly what I did here. I felt the same way until I realized that the hover board = God mode. If you crash, land on your head, or wipe out you'll just flip back over and keep going. And of course rocks & campfires are no problem. When you get the hover board, just go for the craziest trick possible, you might land it and if you don't you'll be fine (if you still have the hover buff). Just watch out for chasm's. That seems like a good trade off for not being able to pick up some of the lower coins.
The loops you made with the wingsuit can be made just by holding down anywhere on the screen - similar to how you backflip. Essentially, the wingsuit functions like the plane in RETRY and similar games. Tap to momentarily go up, hold down to do a loop Edit : also, you can activate it any time the snow angel icon appears, even on the ground. If you tap on it when going down a slope, suddenly you'll be wingsuitin'g down it
