That's a great crop! Though the problem is that you can see it with that size but once it's iphone / app store sized, it'll be hard to make out the image. Probably a more condensed version would work. The one they're using works because it's easy to identify the windmill and doesn't look too small.
Jónsi - Kolnidur is the track on the trailer. Probably would cost significantly more to license the track.
Agreed. What I was thinking is if they can basically move the skier closer to the sun, and still get the background aesthetic in. The grid layout would make it impossible without cropping, but that one shot sold me on this....if I weren't already a TA'er....I see the potential, is all
No I completely agree with you. I think your suggestion is a lot more beautiful (I'm a sucker for that sun down - or sun rise)! Hopefully they can look into it. The standard one doesn't do the game justice. Who knows, I actually have complained about some icons before and a few were actually changed But yeah don't get the hopes up too much.
Another game for you guys to consider if you like a zen type snowboarding experience is "Shred It". It's free but for a buck you can remove the ads. What makes it cool is it's 3D but done completely in a Paper Mario style but more delicate... Like living origami paper. Has a lot of the same vibes and the same satisfaction when managing a particularly long run.
Am I missing something with the wingsuit? I bought it but nothing seems different in-game, other than the fact that the character seems SLIGHTLY floatier than usual... Also, are there more characters/items to unlock in game, or are these planned in future updates? I couldn't imagine such a beautiful title limited by less content
For the wingsuit : Perform tricks tricks tricks until your scarf glows white. Then you will see the snow angel icon on the left of the screen. Tap it, and the wingsuit will activate until its meter runs to 0. For characters, a new one is unlocked every 10 missions, for 5 more characters.
Thanks... there should be something in-game to let players know about this, no? Sorry for the apparently silly questions, but how do you chain tricks? I know jumping doesn't count as a trick... so what does? Sliding on wires / jumping on rocks / backflips off large cliffs? These events usually don't follow back to back to back so how do you go about chaining them and eventually getting the chance to activate the wingsuit?
once you get a feel for the backflips and unlock maya at mission 11, you can do a backflip almost at every rise. I'm on mission 18 now and just managed to land a triple backflip off a cliff.
Sounds great, thanks! I was initially put off by the character's inability to flip compared to Ski Safari. Glad to hear this improves though
D'oh! I just did a triple-backflip, then got cocky and failed trying to make a double-backflip shortly after.
I added some more info to my guide. Let me know if there's anything you think I should add to it. http://www.appunwrapper.com/2015/02/19/altos-adventure-walkthrough-strategy-guide/
How its Done This gets pretty insane once you figure out how often you can backflip and pick up real speed. The chain combos multiply for each rail/flip you hit untill you land on the ground, the wingsuit can connect some gnarly moves together and i think you actually get certain bonuses score-wise for style (like proximity flips), check the stats in the pause menu (Izel is my favorite character so far, I think she has a jetpack or something lol) Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
