Game Impressions After playing now for 2 hours and getting to level 11 i'm frustrated because the dev did advertise a totaly different game in my opinion. It's really just a stupid runner with nice graphics. Where is all the tony hawk like stuff you have promised? And where is the meditative stuff? At least please give us the trailer music and not this midi-piano tralalala.
Could be my six years of ios gaming and playing pretty much all endless runners there were, and that's why i'm not disappointed at all. My expectations from the trailer are completely fulfilled. Brilliant atmosphere, great visuals and sfx, good music but only a decent gameplay, in my books. If i would rate your game right now, you wouldn't like it because i'm still shaking my head about that pause button in the left down corner...fire that guy...(rant off, sorry). Maybe touch the screen with two fingers to pause, some like that maybe.
Absolutely.I was surprised that the workshop had only two power ups and one upgrade. It's like they focused on the graphics and neglected the content.Endless runners rely a lot on their extra content and I'm baffled that they did not do that.Hopefully there'll be added content in future updates. The graphics though are incredibly gorgeous.I had a lot of people on the tube today glancing over my shoulder.
This is the kind of game I hope for each release week. Another keeper. I'm torn between this and the new updated Drop7 today....
While I don't necessarily dislike the current music, I agree that the song used in the official trailer is significantly more memorable. Official Trailer Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
I completely love the game, it's simple yes, but has a way of making me want to play again, and again. Most endless games don't have that same appeal. For the game to be totally perfect to me here's what I think it needs. Customization: Allow you to purchase little minor upgrades for each character, different gear, boards, scarfs, what have you. Even though it might not be that noticeable due to the size of the character, the fact that you can use your coins for something would continue to keep players hooked. Switch stance? What if you swiped forwards to backwards to switch your stance, might be fun to do when you are just sliding down the mountain, because other than jumping -- there's not much to do. Could also lead into different types of tricks. More sound tracks. The same track over and over does get tiring... Some sort of a half pipe, goof off level to just play around, crashing wouldn't end the game... try for the highest combo/score. Those few things IMO would improve the game by 100x. my 2 cents.
it looks beautiful like monument valley or year walk but I do agree the gameplay is mmm meh? but for now I think the art can hold your attention for a while and hope an update will come. but for $1.99 this game is a steal and a absolute looker ;D
Wanted to play the trailer soundtrack (by Jónsi, Kolnidur or Kolniour, from the album "Go") but it's not possible. The sfx is mute as soon as i start my music. That's why i love seperate volume sliders so much. Hear the sfx crisp and clear with some adjusted music in the background. If the game sells good, maybe the Devs have a heart (and time/money/mood) to update this (maybe only my) issue.
What am I doing wrong? I'm in the tutorial, trying to grind the bunting, and I've been doing it over and and over and over and I'm not advancing. I can't wait to start enjoying this game, but right now I'm super-frustrated. Do you have to grind the entire bunting? if I jump on the ramp I grind most of it, but I can't seem to land on the specific pixel that lets me advance.
Wow. I don't leave reviews very often but I wanted to give this one to credit it deserves. One of the most beautiful games I've played on iOS. There are so many little touches that make it better than it's simple and often used concept would lead you to believe. I highly recommend this game. For only two dollars you can't go wrong.
This is as fun as it is beautiful. I notice more little details every time play. The sun was setting as I was going down a huge slope and lined up perfectly with Alto, at which point my appreciation for this game grew immensely. Hard to put down for sure. Sometimes I have problems clearing gaps off of ramps, can't seem to get enough air. I think it's just that I'm not jumping at the right time, not sure. I get all freaked out when that elder starts chasing me
Loving the game so far, but I have to agree with the workshop needing a little more. It reminds me a lot of Ski Safari, which is a good thing.
