The only thing I can think of adding to this game are some custom colors or outfits and some new tracks for background music. The challenges are quite difficult and maybe could use some more feedback like someone said above. Also some new scenery in the background would be nice although what is there is beautiful. Also considering the difficulty of this game, I would hope something really cool happens after you finish the last level. I could also imagine some challenges levels. Handcrafted levels that had difficult challenges to achieve. Another small touch would be the ability to turn off certain power ups. I find a feather for instance, to be annoying and not worthwhile.
Others have said it before, but I have to agree unlocking Tupa is ample reward for defeating those aggravating challenges. So fast! Returning to other characters feels like playing in treacle.
Read through this thread when I was struggling with the 100m wingsuit, figured I'd come back to offer my thoughts now that I've progressed a bit and have Tupa. Unless mentioned, the only character I play with (until unlocking Tupa) is Maya. Proximity wingsuit As previously mentioned, indicated by a plume of snow when flying near the ground. Practice, practice, practice. At first I was just activating the suit as quickly as possible, and making risky attempts at proximity flying. After getting sick of restarting, I took a different approach, and made more relaxed runs, using wingsuit time to just get a better feel for it, just getting a feel for the rate of tap to maintain a straight line at various angles, even while too far from the ground to qualify for proximity flight. Don't die, save a bit of wingsuit time to get onto a grind, juice it back up and go again. After a while I had better control, and when the right terrain appeared, just did it without a second thought. High scoring/high multipliers I didn't notice for a long time that the little hops between sections of bunting add +(x1) to your multiplier. You can of course do a flip between sections and get +(x2), but then you're not grinding out points, so you're multiplying a smaller score. I generally stopped doing mid bunting flips, and don't even jump off the kicker ramps before bunting, in order to grind the first section of bunting. I've also pretty much stopped doing wingsuit loops, as it's really much more effective to connect as many sections of bunting/roof as possible. Loops eat up a lot of forward momentum, and it's better to be able to effectively use the wingsuit to tie together 3,4,5 sections of grinding than to add a multiplier but lose the chance at an entire section of grind, which brings a multiplier, base score, and hopefully a dismount flip. If you want to go crazy, learn how to do a loop, stall the wingsuit over a rock, drop right onto it, and then take off again after you bounce up.. Or take advantage of the fact that the game is really liberal with rock bounces: You can sometimes start what would be an impossible flip, and basically smack the back of your head into the rock and it'll bounce you straight up. Connecting any of these with grinds is pretty much just luck, but it can happen. But really.. just keep playing. The stats screen says my highest combo is 32x, but I have no clue how I did that. The game isn't perfect. The mechanics are generally kind of weird, the feather and double-jump are especially unpredictable, I prefer to play to my own music, and Maya, Itzel & Tupa seem like the only really playable characters. It also sort of annoys me that I can't save a chasm-fall with a late wingsuit, because the game basically grabs you and calls "game-over." But it ranges from beautiful to moments of "holy-crap beautiful," and has zero IAP, god bless 'em.
There's often opportunities for triple back flips while escaping elders. You can even use the elder as an indicator for where the ground is. You could also try using the wing suit to start your triple flip from a greater height.
I have the wingsuit, how does it help ? I though the only point of the suit was for bonus and cosmetic effect.
If you activate it and get a bit lucky, your suit will die out where you've just cleared a huge descent, so you can drop down with quite a ways to go. That's how I ended up getting it.
Good luck! It took me a long time... Now I can't smash through 2 rocks with one boost. QUOTE=eSanjay;3504496]Can some one tell me how to unlock 2 triple backflips in a single run ? Stuck there for a long time.[/QUOTE]
TUPA!!!! Finally... the biggest advice I'd give to those struggling with different parts is: 1) Use Maya... pretty much always 2) For high points or combos, use wingsuit in between grinds.... grind, flip, grind, flip, grind, flip, wingsuit, loop de loop, fly to another grind and land on it, flip, grind... etc. This was how I got the 13x combo done 3) Not sure why so much angst on the two triple backflips... just go off a steep hill and don't let go of the jump. Should be fairly doable in short order. 4) My thoughts on 100m proximity... I got this one relatively quickly, but agree w some on here... didn't feel like skill... more like luck 5) My score for "get 75,000 points" was 75,060 ... and for going 15,000m (although i had previously gone 17k, took me awhile to get 15k again and did it while falling into chasm and totaling 15,002... whew!
Only the 250k combo goal left and I'm done .. I don't know if I'll play this game again since the goals have pretty much destroyed it for me .. It's kind of sad really because this started as a very tranquil experience and will probably finish as a struggle ! At the beginning I was enjoying them, but some of them were really annoying (especially those with the big distances, escape the elders etc.) and due to that the game will never be the same for me .. Anyone else who feels the same ?? P.s. I know it's my choice to complete the goals or not ..
I stopped playing because I couldn't do the escape the 3 elder challenge - I liked the game because I could play it for 5 minutes here and there and this single challenge just takes too long to complete. I'd always crash during the third elder chase too.. frustrating and perhaps it should have simply been later in the game.
Use maya and take all chances to perform a grind or a single backflip... Elders will never catch u this way
Thanks for all the feedback guys! We definitely wanted the game to be quite challenging, but we do understand the frustration some people are having with certain goals. We'll keep that in mind going forward. We should have an update out shortly with some bug fixes, as well as support for Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, and Welsh. Thanks for playing
Stuck trying to destroy two rocks with one boost. Still like the game but am beginning to play it less and less since I don't get how this is possible? I've seen a couple of times where if I were lucky I could have had a boost and they had about four rocks in a row but rare. Should I use maya? Ugh!!! The triple loops (jumps) stumped me for a while but this one seems even harder!
Just get as far as possible, there are a lot more rocks later and this should be an easy one if you get far enough.
That's the only goal I have left and yes, it is incredibly hard. Any tips? I'm trying to hit the pack of 3 lamas in the villages, but it never works, either I crash or I am riding on the ground fefore I hit them.
I have given up on this game. I am stuck on the 7,500 combo score. Loved the game because of it's relaxing nature but the frustration of trying to complete this challenge has completely turned me off it.
