This one is vaguely luck and some timing. Don't think it makes a huge difference who you use but if you are going slower it is easier IMO so maybe the slowest boarder you have available. Just try and look ahead and if a rock comes up near bunting then jump early and try to land on the rock. As I say it involves a fair amount of luck but it is doable so don't give up.
Who? - As I wrote earlier, I suggest using Maya for anything related to tricks. In fact, I've been using Maya pretty much non stop from level 11 onwards, although there are certain exceptions where other characters definitely are better suited. Where? - I have noticed that the first part of the run cycles between a fixed number of configurations. At least half of those have a bunting pretty early on, usually preceded by a rock and/or with one or more rocks under them. Go slow (don't do tricks until you get there) and try to aim for the rock, then hope for a boost up to the bunting. Once you're up there, grind until the end and do a backflip off the end pole. It's easy to practice this way because if you miss the rock, or the backflip fails, you just hit Pause and then Restart and try again. I used this strategy for level 39, where one of the goals is to do a "rock bounce to grind" TWICE in one run (veeeeeery frustrating!) and I can confirm that practice and persistance is key Little YAY moment for me as I just unlocked Tupa (lvl 41) and he's a lot of fun to play
I think my one wish for this game is that the logo and text on the title screen would fade away after a few seconds of inactivity. It would make a nice relaxing desk decoration at work.
We've literally just completed this with Felipe. Completely understand that most people would probably recommend Maya for this, particularly as you've probably done it by chance in previous levels/runs. The thing we noticed with Felipe is when he's travelling at speed a small tap means your likely to clip a rock for the rock bounce, and if you happen to be near bunting (as we were) then you can easily finish off a backflip with him! Might have to switch back to Maya for these Level 42 challenges though Realise you've already figured out how the wingsuit works but we were keen to share a video we made of the wingsuit which is a bit of a "How-to" and also an overview of the Level 39 wingsuit challenges. Let us know what you think.
Help with Level 32 Help - I cannot proceed beyond Level 32 - 200m in Wingsuit. I have crossed 500m many times, but it does not register me completing the task. I have tried using Izel, Maya, and Alto, without any success. I have 30,000 coins so I was hoping to not have to delete the game and restart. Any thoughts/advice? Thanks!!
That's the one I was stuck on the longest. Just be patient and don't force the second one. Let it come to you. Be at one with the board.
Nah push it push it push it I joke! I have said it before but the bigger hills seem to come around the first elder, at least in my experience. I can normally land 1 or 2 triples escaping him.
I completely agree! I'm captivated by how beautifully this game was designed. Especially since it's so pixellated, yet that doesn't have a negative effect on the look&feel. Good tip on the rock bounce to grind challenge. I hadn't noticed that effect with Felipe, I'll be sure to try it out. As to your video: I LOVE it! Would love to see more like it, I found it very clear and instructive and also funny (I actually LOL'ed )
I agree with the advice above, PLUS: I have found that at the higher 'cliff' edges that have ramps on them, there are often large clusters of coins in the air after them; sometimes they have a sort of W-shape, sometimes they spell out "ALTO". What I find is that (of course using Maya, or Tupa if you're past level 50) if you have picked up enough speed and jumped off the ramp well enough to jump completely OVER that entire coin cluster, you will be able to complete a triple backflip every time. It sometimes cuts close, but I've not crashed yet in those situations. Don't wait to see though, jump off the ramp and start backflip rightaway. But again, if you don't pick up even one coin from that cluster, you should be good to go. Hope this helps I'm not quite sure, but either this is a bug or you're doing something wrong. I would suggest flying long distances and then dropping down to build the wingsuit back up, then flying again. Also, you can pause the game at any time, to check the progress toward your current goals. That way, you should be able to see the percentage points climbing as you log flying time. If it keeps failing, perhaps you should email [email protected] and see if they can fix it for you. Oh and congrats @blue rocket
Thanks -- you know, I had no idea that Tupa gets saved after the first chasm he lands in! I used him a but when testflighting the game, but never realized that! pretty cool. I guess I should have also read his description, he is a combination of all other characters, so he possesses all of their abilities. He's definitely a lot of fun to use! time to work on the remaining 9 levels!
Well, Yoda (tee hee, nice reference there ), I suppose you could do what I wrote above, hit the wingsuit and get even higher before starting your backflips. That should in theory help with landing the triple. Make sure you quit the wingsuit before you 'stall' (that's the point where you lose momentum and start dropping again) because it'll block you from quitting the wingsuit for a second or so after, meaning you'll lose altitude. Good luck, really hope you get it I like how it's one of the goals for his first level, that was a clever move on the developers' part. Yeah he's lots of fun, but he's also really really fast so I find myself switching back to Maya for the trickier trick challenges, just to have a fraction of a second longer to react to what's coming.
Been stuck on 20 birds while grinding for over a week now. Loved the game while it lasted, but can't imagine ever getting past this point. Really wish there was an option to spend gold to skip goals. I've got 50,000 useless coins I could use.
I was stuck on that for a while, too. My only advice would be to use yr preferred character (Maya) and just play for as high a score as possible, while remembering to grind as much as you can. In other words, don't focus on the achievement but on surviving and grinding. If that makes any sense.
Don't 'tryhard' just for the goal, and you'll get it. Focus rather on hitting as many bunting grinds as possible in the run as possible (Maya) and it'll automatically come to you. I managed the goal within an hour of getting it, no sweat.
