Update 1.0.1 is live. Lots of fixes. *Fixed the infinite wingsuit bug *Fixed bug that prevented wingsuit from activating when app is deleted/synched *Now allows background audio of other apps *Increase frequency of ramps to help with double and triple backflips *Added new ramp to grind sequences (thank you!) *Level 42 reduced from 30 to 20 birds *Increased tap area of wingsuit *And more!
THANK YOU! I finally did it, I've been stuck with this goal for days and now I did it on my first attempt, what a relief! You can't even imagine.. And I agree with Falco, let's reset the leaderboards and start again, it'll be fun
Hi guys, hoping you can answer this for me. I just bought a new iPad. In the store, I restored everything from my iPhone backup in the cloud, hoping to mirror my phone exactly. Some apps kept their save data, some didn't. What I'm trying to figure out right now is why games like Alto and Monument Valley that have cloud saves, don't keep my data if I delete and reinstall the game on my iPad. Anyone else having this experience? I would think, since the cloud save is there, it would automatically kick in when I re-download on the new iPad. So what gives? (Glad to see the update is out, though, and can't wait to get back to playing on the big screen once I get everything sorted.)
This has been answered probably... How do you complete the "collect 5 coins in a wing suit flight"? It doesn't seem to be working, any tips?
I kno tht restoring from a backup from ur lappy or desktop saves and transfers ingame progress;! Cheers mate and thanx for all the insite on this one. U shld b charging. Lol
So...save data did transfer over. But then when I deleted the game and reinstalled, it didn't use the cloud save. This happened with every single iCloud game I tried. at my wit's end here.
On a more positive note, my wingsuit is working again, so I'm back to workijg on those goals and my guide.
Do you have Documents and Data stored for all of those games in the iCloud settings on the device you deleted the games from? Also, had you backed up to iCloud before deleting the games?
Yes and yes. Games like Alto and Hero Emblems transferred my data over from the full iPhone backup. But deleting them from the iPad and reinstalling starts them from scratch (and yes, I have iCloud checked on them and they show up in my iCloud Usage area. Even weirder, Monument Valley and Threes just wiped all my data when I restored from the backup. I just want to get back to playing all my favorite games, but this is becoming such a hassle. Has anyone else had issues where deleting Alto (or those other games) messes with the cloud save? Edit: Restored from backup again so I at least have the apps that transferred over. But despite iCloud being enabled on both devices, Alto is not syncing. I completed a goal on my iPad and it's not crossed off on my iPhone. What gives?
AppUnwrapper are you running iOS 8 on both your devices? Because there's supposed be a difference between iCloud and iCloud drive (in iOS 8), developer from Pixelbite explained that in Space Marshalls thread to someone with iCloud syncing problem. But if it's not your case I don't know..
AppUnwrapper, I have some data for your guide. Had to fresh install it on my iPhone 4... Game is not sluggish there as opposed to other games, but man, the tiny screen almost ripped off my eyes! Btw I play mainly on iPhone 6 Plus, as someone has posed this question earlier to the community. And the 6+ feels really great, but sometimes the snowboarder becomes so tiny at higher speeds, you can't distinguish where's his head and his board... Especially at night... Especially during the double backflip ending in the forest... Anyway, now I'm stuck on lvl 35... 8 Chasms is a matter of persistence and carefulness, but proximity wingsuit fly for 50 m just doesn't feel right with my hands... Rrrrgh... 1 Land a backflip Grind a bunting line Jump across a chasm 2 Travel 500 m in one run Catch 5 Llamas Jump over 2 rocks in one run 3 Pick up a coin magnet Travel 5,000 m in total Score 500 points in one run 4 Spook 15 birds in one run Snowboard at night Land a 2x combo 5 Pick up a hover feather Land 3 backflips Rip 30 bunting flags in one run 6 Stay airborne for 3 seconds Travel 1,500 m in one run Jump over 5 rocks in one run 7 Backflip over a chasm Catch 15 Llamas in one run Collect 25 coins in one run 34 Land a proximity backflip Perform a loop with a wingsuite Travel 7,500 m in one run 35 Backflip onto a rock bounce Proximity wingsuit fly for 50m in a row Jump across 8 chasms in one run
Nah I mean the attempt 2 triple backflips in a run achievement, I just don't seem to get enough chances/big hills to do it!
Both devices are on iOS 8.1.2 (the last update wasn't kind to my iPhone, so I've been avoiding updating again). I did notice that there's two separate places for cloud saves now, the old way under Usage and iCloud Drive. Alto shows up in both, so you would think one of them would kick in, at least! Monument Valley was always one of those games that had perfect cloud sync (at least with my iPhone) -- I can still delete and reinstall it on my iPhone as many times as I like and it always installed with all the levels complete. But on my iPad, it starts from scratch. The Cloud Drive is actually confusing. If a game's not on your device anymore, it's removed from that list, even though the save data should still be in the cloud. I liked the old system better. I did restore the iPad from my iPhone backup to attempt to get as much over to it as possible (the list of games that use iCloud is still very small). I hope that's not messing up the cloud. Edit 2: I just noticed that the goal I crossed off on my iPad is now crossed off on my iPhone. So, other than a bit of lag between the two, Alto does seem to be syncing. I'm not sure what will happen if I delete it from my iPad now, though. So much for the seamless Apple experience. :/
First post here. Been playing Alto's Adventure a fair bit for the past week. Finally made it to level 60 (I think it's the last level). The challenges are (as far as I can remember): Catch three llamas during one wingsuit flight (hard!) Do 15,000 point combo (done!) Get 200,000 points in a single run (still haven't done it yet) Spoilers ahead!: It's interesting that they made Tupa so OP. Once you unlock him, you have no reason to decide between characters anymore.
