Alpha Numeric is a word and maths game where you must find as many words as possible against the clock, or reach a numerical target using 6 numbers and a combination of operators, add, subtract, multiple, and divide.

    Version 1.2 is now available.

To coincide with this I am holding a competition for 5 promo codes.

To enter simply email a word, with the definition to alphanumeric@ritter.demon.co.uk with the subject "1.2 Promo Competition".

The five best words (chosen by myself) will receive codes.

Best words means something I find funny, or something that just sounds good, e.g. "Mouldywarp" which WordMem threw up at me the other day.

The competition closes at 12pm BST on the 4th of July.

Only 1 entry per person is permitted and is open to anyone, not just forum members.

If the subject of the email is not as state above then the entry will be ignored.

Great idea for a contest and the game looks quite good, as well.

    Good luck to everyone!

Time's up for the competition, thanks for the entries. The senders of the winning words have been sent their codes via email, the winning words are:

tethering - allowing internet from your phone to be used on a computer

cruciverbalist - An enthusiast of word games, especially of crosswords.

gynotikolobomassophile - One who likes to nibble on a woman's earlobes.

arsesmart - A kind of water pepper plant, named because the plant stings when it touches bare skin, and was often lain in beds to kill fleas.

xenon - the chemical element of atomic number 54, a member of the noble gas series. It is obtained by distillation of liquid air and is used in some specialized electric lamps. (Symbol: Xe)

Hey, thanks for choosing my word,
but that gyno...phile has to be my personal favorite,
I mean, that specific behaviour warrants a word! And such a long one too...

Wow, people really do win. Thanks!

Whoever submitted "tethering" is hilarious. The other ones are great too.

Indeed, it was the first submission, and no matter what else came in it was almost guaranteed to be a winner
