      The jailbreak for 3.1 for all the iPhone and iTouch models (except 3rd gen) is out! But sadly, it is for the Mac OS X only for now. Sorry if this was already posted, couldn't find any threads on this. :) Read this carefully:

      Well, I was excited too until I found out that it was only for Mac OS X. :(

      Is it like redsn0w where you don't have to restore? or will you have to?

      by "assuming you already Pwned at blah" does it mean jailbroken in general or jailbroken using PwnageTool?

      You have to be jailbroken using w/e tool on 3.0 so you can use PwnageTool to update.

      I was even more excited since I'm on OS X.
      but I don't feel like downgrading and then pwning...is it even possible to restore to 3.0 with itunes? I heard it doesn't let you.

      You can, as long as you have the 3.0 ipsw file

      I did. DFU then restore to 3.0. Run redsn0w, then do the PwnageTool

      Should be soon for them to release a Windows version.
      Also it's not quite clear about the cellular service thing... I have ultrasn0w installed, but now that I'm back in Canada I don't "rely" on ultrasn0w anymore since I'm back to my original service provider; do I delete it or it doesn't matter, and theoretically does it count as "relying on ultrasn0w for cellular service"?
