Id like to update to see the new stuff, but I'm afraid with it going F2P, I done want to end up with timers, dual currency, overpriced items, ect. UPDATE: I just downloaded it to another device and everything looks the same. Same prices, no ads or dual currency or timers. Just extra Rebel Twins goodness added from what I can tell.
Don't worry, the game remains the same. There is no dual currency, timers and higher prices. The only things that was changed are: In App Purchases and ads (but you won't see ads if you didn't uninstall the game from your device).
Argh! Because it has been so long since the last update I just deleted it like a few weeks ago to free up some space. I loved that game and it took me forever to actually decide to finally delete it. I just wish the devs would either be more consistent with updates or don't make it F2P which almost always comes at the previous paid owners' expense.
oh man I uninstalled this ages ago. I'll download it again for another play and hopefully see some new stuff but I hate having adverts going to have to try my trusty ad blocker well I did buy it originally.
If you buy IAP now (like the coin doubler) does that get rid of ads? Had this in my wish list for ages so I should've bought it sooner!
fiskadoro, any purchase will disable ads in the game ramzarules, we're working on an update for Dragon Hills
I've tried avoiding asking the whole day, but I guess there's no harm in it: Are you guys planning on keeping Dragon Hills premium, or is a similar update (like this) being planned...or at least being considerated?
Just brought this game a week ago because my love for dragon hills. I REALLY don't want to update. Is the coin drop rate less now? That's the big question. Also quite disappointed in rebel twin. I will think twice before buying another game of theirs. Why couldn't a second FREE version be released instead of taking our money for one thing and changing it later? Serious question.
Unfortunately, iPads won't hold 100's or thousands of apps, so certain Paid apps get deleted so the player can put more focus on the game or play it in order of other games purchased. Too bad apple doesn't allow people to download/install previous versions if they've paid for them or allow devs to gift iap's to their loyal previous purchasers.
I reinstalled the game on another device and haven't noticed any difference at all besides the added content. Same coin drop rate, no ads, ect. I played for about 15 mins.
Thanks noen, I'm still worried about updating... I'm on lvl 35 and would like to check the new weapons out. How many new weapons are there and at what level do they unlock? Also does updating delete pervious save??????? That is the WORST.
Lol. I'm afraid to update my saved game too. I've got the F2P version on another device. I'm not gonna update until I'm SURE.
Nobody was buying it. Such is the App Store today. Take comfort knowing that we won't have to look at ads, while the hordes of "I only download free games" will be stuck with them. Also, it seems that they didn't rebalance it so we can ignore the IAPs unless we feel like supporting the dev. Must have been a difficult decision for them. You can always tell the devs who don't like F2P because they only do it as a last result. Such a good game. Hope it catches on...
Yeah I totally hate seeing this happen... But Rebel Twins have been a fav dev team of mine since Night Flight. Unfortunately, I don't think any of their games have really gotten the attention that they deserve. I'm actually surprised they waited this long to switch it to F2P. I did delete the game about a month ago, but since I have all their games and would LOVE to see more of them, so I have NO issues with throwing another buck or two down for the game if I ever decide to jump into it again. Anyway... I hope this works out for you guys! Would be great if this decision wound up putting another game on the AppStore. =oP
I remember a few years ago when Amazing Breaker was hidden in obscurity. Somehow it busted out and ended up doing very well. I really hope something like that happens here. I'm not optimistic, though, considering how poorly the App Store handles App discovery. For God's sake, just copy Steam's. There's no need to reinvent the wheel here.
