iPhone Alien Frontiers

Just bringing this back to the surface for those who like playing boardgames on their iPad, but may not have been aware of this top-notch offering. ^_^

 

Update on Alien Frontiers' expansion?

 

No news at the moment; the base game only barely crawled across the Kickstarter funding finish line in the first place (otherwise we'd still be 1-3 years away from seeing it, according to the developers, as the programmer they're using is only able to work on the game a couple of hours a week if he's not getting paid), so honestly I wouldn't expect to see the iOS expansion any time soon, if ever.

That's a pity, considering the high quality of the game as it stands now.

 

The "admiral AI" takes a long time to play... anybody else with this problem? (ipad air with iOS 7.0.4)

 

This game is unplayable with 2 opponents with Admiral AI... too bad cause it was one of my favorite games on ipad.

Does anyone know why this is no longer available on iTunes?

Alien Colony removed from App Store

Seems like Alien Colony, that rip-off clone of Alien Frontiers, was removed from the App Store by Game Salute after I notified them. They also had this one removed: http://topiosgames.net/entertainment/117961/alien-commander/

And they sent me a nice 'thank you' email.

 

Did Retina and gamecenter support ever get added? Played the board game yesterday for the first time and really enjoyed it...
