    LEVEL # SEVEN (Video)

The last level is called "Highway to Hell". Please don't get irritated because I was switching to fast forward (the button at the bottom left becomes colored yellow/orange) and back to normal tempo frequently.

All 20 lives saved, three stars. I didn't buy any "In-App Purchases". It is one of the levels where you can't build a maze because the path (to be exactly: the TWO paths) of the enemies is (are) fixed. You can choose where to place the turrets in a rather narrow space.

The semi-transparent monster/boss at the end (and in wave #20) is flickering and jumping as you can see, maybe an error (he did this even in other levels). Another little bug: You may sell and place turrets in pause mode (in some levels I used pause often) but you'll see the change on the playfield only when the game is running again.

I needed about 10 attempts—the most difficult waves were #10, #15, #18 (without the ice tower at the bottom you'll lose it), #21 and #23. It seems to be the last level of the game for the time being. When you tap on the next space in the map it says "Coming soon". Obviously it's the first world of four. I still didn't play the three side branch levels.

    …and of course: Spoiler Alert!

By the way there are several "Coming soon"s in the game: Daily Quests, Achievements, Encyclopedias…

I'm having fun so far with Alien Demons TD: 3D Sci fi Tower Defense but when you want to get all stars it's brutally hardcore (and I just played the easiest of three difficulty modes). It's a classic TD without tapping on coins to collect them and other childish crap. Reminds a tiny little bit to Tower Madness. Well done so far.

See my videos of levels 1+3 earlier in this thread.

Sincerely thank for all your comments so far. I'm looking forward to hearing from you with the hard level (there have just been two levels of difficulty as I have noted in the description), Hope to have a positive, honest review from you on appstore. It could be an encouragement for more development. Once again, thank you.

I'm very much on the fence with this so far, I like the gameplay, it's a solid TD game that doesn't seem to offer anything new but is nonetheless good fun, but on the other hand it does feel to me like I've just bought a freemium game.

There's 2 currencies - and already I can see that to unlock one of the guns you need to pay 'premium' diamonds. It's 1,000 and I've currently got 20 - diamonds and coins, and it's got daily rewards and a coin doubler.

To be honest being asked or offered a coin double in a premium priced game feels very very cheeky and a bit insulting.

Gameplay wise it's pretty much as described in Habukuks posts, and yeah it feels hard but because of the iap my cynical mind tells me it's hard to encourage me to pay more money rather than challenge me.

This game fed my hunger for a real strategic TD game. as an experienced TD players, TD games available on the store before it, even some big names are too easy for me & they are plain as you said. in contrast, this game is a challenge for my brain. Building paths is the first thing I am into. Secondly, The amount of energy to buy towers is tight, sometimes I even have to buy the one I built to have enough energy to buy another one. Thirdly, The invasions are non-stop and intensive: large numbers of enemies appearing continuously can wrap all your attention. Sometimes I even have to pause to take a rest and to think what to do next.

The bonus are fun, in bonus map 1, all the demons get much bigger. Sometimes the map seem to be filled with demons only. In bonus map 2, all enemies run incredibly fast. Bonus map 3 is a puzzle of guiding enemies through trap. I like the third one most but I couldn't win it at all. Unfortunately, there's no IAP can help me this case. WIll be trying harder.

I am not really enjoy the sound but the graphics is awesome, the sci fi theme makes me feel that I am standing and shooting outside the earth. I like to zoon in the map, it has a very nice look. It is beautiful in every single detail.

I'm not entirely sure this has anything new to offer to the genre. Leaving aside my thoughts on the iap which I outlined earlier in the thread the actual gameplay is solid and it's a decent TD game but I've yet to come across anything that hadn't been done many, many times before.

(This is not necessarily a criticism, I've nothing against a solid game done well and not everything needs to innovate - my issues lie with the iap).

So if you're good at the game you pay the entry price and get to play all of the game. If you're not good at the game then after paying the entry price you can pay extra to play all of the game.

If that's the rationale then what about an easy mode? What extra work went into the development process to provide this benefit for the less able, justifying the cost to these players?

I know it's not the first time this has been done but it's interesting to see someone actually admit it.

All of your feedback is acknowledged for the development of the game as well as the development of the studio in general. We are a small studio and we are not really experienced in publishing paid app, Alien Demons TD is our first product. Hope to satisfy you more with the next update. Thank you.

Any further opinions on this one? I just downloaded NeoDefense Lite and enjoyed the first few levels quite a lot, which got me thinking about this one. Anyone have both and have a preference they'd like to share? Thanks.

I haven't played NeoDefense Lite, however, comparing to other TD games, Alien Demons TD can make good the other TD games’ shortcoming that is too basic or plain by graping your full attention. At the same time, you have to build turrets, wind the mazes and check out the next invasions of enemies beacause the demons invasions in this game are endless and highly intensive. Thus, it is not only a strategic but also an action game.

So the update is out but does it keep your “premium” status even after it went free with the IAP unlock? Afraid to update until I know that it will recognize that it was purchased before.
